Hi I love vietnamese, rolls and pho. I eaten heaps over the years and appreciate everything about them.
The lychee smoothies was the best ive ever had, it was Delicious. The resturant was spotlessly clean, which management needs to be congratulated on.
I ordered a pork roll. A standard one, no changes with chili, so a traditional one. Put it came in a paper bag, being placed over to counter to me. I asked if I was eating in, was it possible to have a plate. It was like asking for a free one, the look… anyhow, there was no chilli, one tiny sprig of coriander.
I went up to the counter to get some chilli and more coriander, and I was made to feel like an idiot, when the manager insisted on showing me the receipt, pointing out that it was not his mistake. …. At that stage I didn’t have a problem, but really mate, just pass me some chili and some coriander without being a tool.
Anyhow I did some surgery on my roll and it was good, as expected.
One last gripe, when you serve water, make sure it cold, or sell it cold. The glass of water they gave me was and tepid, no love here, it was 37degress outside, eating a chili roll, cold water would...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place when searching for food in the area, and with a rating of 4.8 out of 5, I had high hopes. I decided to try their special beef pho for $19, which seemed a bit pricey compared to what I'd pay for a large pho in Springvale or Richmond.
Given the location, the price seemed alright, but when the pho arrived, it was more like a small size. As for the flavor, it didn't quite satisfy me – it had a very strong pepper taste. Considering it's a pho joint, I found it quite slow to serve the food.
The iced coffee was standard and tasted good. However, I was a bit surprised to hear them speaking Cantonese. I'm not sure about the rolls, but I might return to try them out. Overall, it was a bit of a...
Read moreThe Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi was incredibly fresh – the pork was sliced right in front of me, and it was juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavour. Easily some of the best roast pork I’ve had.
The banh mi itself was decent, but there were a few drawbacks. Despite requesting extra chilli, I didn’t taste any heat. The bread was fresh and had a nice texture – not too tough – but it felt about ¼ smaller than what I’ve had elsewhere. I also felt there weren’t quite enough vegetables to balance the flavours.
On the plus side, the restaurant was clean, and the service was warm and hospitable, making for an overall pleasant experience. With a few small tweaks, this place could be...
