Horrible experience. Worst Dosa Hut I've ever been to. We went to the restaurant as walk-in, the guy asked if we have a booking, obviously we didn't and he said "We don't usually take ppl without booking but it 'this time', I will let you in. As if we made a mistake by going to his restaurant and he was doing the favour to us.
We ordered a goat Biryani and a chicken Biryani. One Biryani came first and we asked which Biryani is this, as one of us would not eat red meat. The server replied - "I don't know' and that was the worst Biryani I ever had.
They served all our food in disposable plates and cutlery. Didn't feel like we were eating in a dining restaurant.
They served salad with Biryani and the salad had weed in it. When report, they guy didn't even acknowledged it properly.
I tried giving him the feedback at the end and for everything "due to the Covid" was his excuses.
Will not recommend this restaurant. After owner's reply (as owner blamed me for being unrespectful.
Dear owner,
Can you please let me know which part of our conversation was unrespectful???
Asking if we can dining in your restaurant? Ordering Food? Asking which biryani was served? Letting you know that the ambiance of your restaurant is nice. Letting you know that there are pieces of broken glasses on the floor? Letting you know you know that there was a weed in salad. Giving you feedback that I didn't like the taste of biryani? (Are you expecting the customer to like whatever you serve - including the weed)?
These were the only conversation we had with your team, can you please tell me which part was unrespectful???
There is no problem in asking if we have a booking but what your team said after that is the disappointment. Once you open the door for customer, either you accept the guest or deny. Don't make the customer feeling guilty for choosing your restaurant.
Mate, you better learn customer service. Please note people do not come to your restaurant to find fault. But when there is a clear gaps in the service, some prefer to let you know. We are only helping you by giving you the feedback. Look at the recent feedbacks and learn from them, if you can't take customers feedback for your service gaps, good...
Read moreFriends and I came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. We were so pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and it took so fast to come out, we didn’t have to wait long at all. The food was so so good, delicious, chefs kiss, yum! It was nicely seasoned and well cooked with just the right amount of crispiness, texture and seasoning - we all enjoyed all of the dishes immensely. There was so much variety in what to choose as well, there were a variety of dishes! To be frank, if I had gone alone, I would have not known what to order, as despite being an avid lover of Indian cuisine, I am not familiar with most dishes. Some of my friends are from India, so they took care of the order - that helped so much. All of us thorougly enjoyed. I was able to experience dishes that I have never experienced before, I was absolutely head over heels with love. On top of that, the owner and the staff came over to our table to chat, and ask us if we were enjoying our food. Everyone was so friendly and kind and genuinely invested in their customers! Then, the birthday cake came out, and the staff helped us light and cut the cake and turned on Happy Birthday on the speaker. It was such a lovely and supportive environment. When we took photos afterwards in the venue, the staff were so happy to assist as well! Special shoutout to the waitress Simran who made our experience super amazing, she was caring, and attentive and so so hardworking and was so sensitive to our needs! She made it all the little bit more special to our table and to the birthday girl! It was such an amazing experience, 10/10 would recommend for food and for event and functions! Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and...
Read moreVery bad first experience. Was super excited to try Dosa Hut but was terribly disappointed. Here is what we ordered and what our thoughts were: Pannipuri - Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Chef Special 70mm Dosa - did not come Ghee Dosa - did not come Butter chicken - did not come Palak Paneer - did not come Plain roti - did not come Garlic naan - did not come Masala tea - did not come
We waited for quite some time (30-45mins). I have 2 young kids and they were hungry and started getting very restless. Waiters kept telling us our food was 5 mins away. A table which came 10 minutes after us got their dosa's and were already tucking it in while my 3 year old daughter looked at them and kept telling me she was hungry.
We left to pay, at this point you can imagine how upset we were. Went to the counter and the manager there told us that he was sorry. First was because there were too many customers (which i find hard to believe seeing that the table for two got their meal) then he said that there were issues with the Tandoor over. Now, I am no Indian cuisine chef, but I don't think you need a Tandoor over to cook the Dosas, the butter chicken, the plain roti and the Masala tea! Garlic Naan, yes.
Despite what happened and all the apologies which meant nothing to me but lip service, the manager still charged me $10.95 for the Pannipuri. Happy to pay, but this story will be doing its rounds and we are never going back to that...
