Ducky’s Corner Langwarrin — Restaurant in Melbourne

I had lunch here for the first time in December of 2022. The service and food were fantastic. I had the big breakfast, of which I highly recommend. It's been roughly 4 months and I stopped in for lunch again. The service was fine. I had, or at least, tried to consume the fried rice with roast pork. Wow. What a leap in the wrong direction. I wish I had taken a photo. On a standard white round dinner plate was a small steel cup with what I believe was soy sauce. On one half of the plate was some roughly cut pork meat with crushed up crackling sprinkle on top. On the other half was the fried rice, which was in the shape of a large rectangular take away container of which was simply turned upside down onto the plate. This dish was not visually appetising and it tasted like it looked. In fact, all the ingredients were poorly cooked and there was no thought put into the presentation. On top of everything, the dish costs $19.90. The next time I'm in the area, I think I will give Ducky...

Despite having enjoyed a number of meals here in the past, I had a terrible experience yesterday. I ordered and paid for what I thought was a Mediterranean Omelette, although the cashier didn’t repeat the order to me and I wasn’t given an itemised receipt. When the food was served it was an Aussie Omelette. I advised the cashier of the mistake and said I would pay the $4 difference for what I actually wanted and believed I had requested. He refused to accept, arguing that I had ordered the Aussie. Incredulous, I returned to the table and waited for my family to finish their meals. When they were done I politely asked the cashier for a refund for the omelette I didn’t want or eat, and he again refused. My family and friends will never be back and I suggest to anyone who appreciates decent customer service not to eat...

Quiet and convenient location, service was great, staff were very friendly upon arriving, very important in my eyes. I had the vegetarian eggs breakfast, which was very nice and fresh, good serving size also. My partner had the pumpkin soup which she did say wasn’t that fresh and had a few spoonfuls and didn’t eat it. Probably could do something better with the pumpkin soup. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, venue could do with a bit more vibe and maybe some decor. Pricing was average pricing and overall place was not too bad for a local breakfast. We can only rate what we have eaten with food and we have had just the 2 meals. Coffee was also...
