This newly opened Asian restaurant has surpassed my expectations, bringing some authentic Asian flavour to the Pines Shopping Centre at last. It does both asian food court dishes - such as those 2-3 dishes + rice/noodles I’m sure we are all familiar with, AND actual authentic dishes for takeaway or dine-in (at the food court). I’ve had most of the dishes available at the counter, and while some dishes such as the sale & pepper chicken ribs, or the fried rice, need a little more flavour, most of the other dishes such as the honey chicken or the tomato beef are done very well. It’s definitely on the upper end of these food court Asian places I’ve had, for only $13.90 (small) or $15.90 (large). They used to have a $19.90 X-large portion which allowed you to choose 5 dishes with rice, but unfortunately I don’t think this is offered anymore. As for the other dishes on the menu, the Deep Fried Pork Chop with Honey Pepper Sauce is amazing! It’s so freshly made, packed full of flavour and generously portioned. The Silky Tofu with Shrimp in Salted Egg Sauce is also perfect to go with rice. They also have stir fried noodles or soup noodles - I’ve tried the Handmade Noodle Soup with Beef and the broth was very unique. There were various vegetables, quail eggs and a reasonable portion of beef in this noodle soup, and the noodles indeed felt handmade and were quite nice, however the portion of the noodles could’ve been a little larger for $16.80. I am really keen to go back to try the other dishes on the menu, and I hope they maintain the quality and prices, and that I won’t be disappointed on my next visit.

I ate the dumplings here today and they were delicious. The chilli oil sauce they put it in tasted amaaazing - it had the perfect blend of sweetness, sourness and saltiness. My fiancé tried the char siu bao and said it tasted pretty good. The bun was nice and soft and the filling was flavourful. I wasn’t expecting much from a food court stall, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food here.

Friendly staff, great food, good menu selection, so glad the shop opened, always good value, highlight pickled chilli broth with fish fillet

Great "food court" food. Generous serving size and pricing is reasonable. Staff are always friendly and keen to assist. If you eat on the outside tables!!!! There is nothing like dining to the crashing sound of people using the can/bottle return machine. How dumb are the centre management by allowing that to be...
