For the third time in 3 weeks ordered barramundi on our Friday night ritual . On the second time ordering barramundi and getting a different fish I thought I’d give them a call and ask before ordering again . They were a dinner adamant that the fish was a barramundi. After ordering fir a third time it definitely was not . Stop charging premium for fish you don’t know you are serving . Gave you 3 tries and still got it wrong . Worst part is the dishonesty. Read moreThe Flake Shack has been on Police Rd for approximately 20 years or so. I popped in the other day because I was craving some fried fish and the store I usually go to (Wanda Catch — which is also good) wasn’t open.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had no less than 10 different types of fish on offer! I grabbed myself a fried Flake and fried Hake and both were great, although slightly too salty so next time I’ll probably ask for no salt. The home made tartare was decent too.
Overall a pretty standard fish and chips and not bad by any stretch. I would say prices are reasonable, a bit more expensive than Wanda...
