Comfortable family restaurant with plenty of parking out the back. The fireplace was very warm and the restaurant was clean. The service was friendly and polite. Dishes came out quickly. The plates that the dishes are served on were burning hot as they likely oven the entire dish. Be careful as I almost burnt my fingers a few times. Ordered: Nacho Supremos ($18.00) – A simple dish done right. Fresh Guacamole, salsa and sour cream went perfectly with the melted cheese on the corn chips. Quesadilla Suprema ($26.00) – Larger tortilla with slow cooked beef served with a side of rice. Once again the guacamole was delicious and the cheese melted nicely with the tender beef pieces. Street Tacos – Chicken ($6.00) – tasted on the blander side and the breading felt slightly dry. My least favourite dish of the night . Street Tacos – Fish ($7.00) – great simple taco. Fresh shredded cabbage and the fish was nice and flakey. Together the flavours worked well here. Overall great simple Mexican food in a comfortable setting. Prices are on the higher end but was a relaxing night out!

Taco Bill has a great variety of Mexican dishes, there’s something for everyone. Our favourites are the sizzling steak Fajitas and the slow cooked beef enchilada 😋 We also tried some frozen margaritas, they were very tasty. I think Watermelon was my favourite flavour. Overall I enjoy it here, food is good and prices are very affordable 😊 However the bathroom was quite unacceptable! There was a massive hole where the door handle is, therefore it was lose and locking the door was questionable. People had to result to stuffing tissues/toilet paper in the hole otherwise the person standing outside would be able to look inside. I recommend that to be fixed asap, it does not offer adequate security or privacy and made me uncomfortable.

Not the best Mexican food that I’ve tasted in Melbourne. Had had better for lesser prices. The La Combinacion that is made up of an enchilada, a taco, and a taquito that was served with frijoles and rice was okay to say the best. The taquito had very less filling in it. The taco was okay, couldn’t been better. The enchilada was thin and lacked the punch of the filling or the tangy zing from the sauce. Everything might have tasted better warm but the food didn’t taste that good. The popcorn prawn was the best of all the dishes that we tried. Probably not worth the second visit from the experience that we had.

I went with the idea of having a nice big bowl of chilli con carne but they didn't have it on the menu. So, I ordered the stuffed jalapenos instead. A few minutes later, the waitress came out and told me they'd run out. They'd run out so, at that point, I walked out. Save your money; there are businesses that deserve your money more.

6-Dec-2023 I decided to give this place another try, thinking maybe I had been too harsh the first time.

They had jalapenos this time, but still no chilli con carne as a main course. The waitress said they could give me some as a side but it would be in a small bowl. I said I had thought I'd be able to get chilli con carne as a main course. She had a think about that and then said, "Well, I'll ask the chef if he can give it to you on a plate, with rice and beans," which is basically what I wanted, so that was alright.

I also asked for a mango slushy, but what I was given did not taste a hint of mango. I asked the waitress if she was sure it was mango and she assured me it was. I said it tasted more like lemon. She said, "Yes, we use lemon as a base but then put mango on top." She then shrugged and said, "It is sometimes sweet like mango [shrug]; sometimes not, more like lemon, I guess." She did not offer to change it or give me a refund.

So, my opinion of this place remains the same. Save your money. There are far better places that are more deserving of...

Terrible service right from the beginning. Our waitress looked tired and fed up from when we ordered. When we changed our minds on the order she angrily scribbled it out and huffed a bit. We waited 1x hr and 45 minutes for our "paid" meals to come and then it didn't come out all at the same time. It was already 9pm when my kids meals came out only to discover that the nacho's was just melted cheese on taco chips. Ok it did say that on the menu but come on an hour and 45mins later for that - really!! We were there to celebrate my brother's birthday and the so called 'free meal' was not honoured as they said you had to be a member at least 2x weeks before receiving it - false advertising. Prices for the Fiesta meal is also deceiving, service was crap - no apologies for delay or anything. Lets just say if your not going for 'free taco night' don't bother because you will be served last. The restaurant was packed when we walked in and we were probably one of the last to leave. People came in way later then us but got their 'free taco's' before us, ate and left and we were still waiting! One good thing the food was nice, a bit small on the portions but whats the point if the service is crap. Will definitely not go to Springvale Taco Bill again let alone any other Taco Bill....

Update 19/04/2022 - gave it another go and it's still below par. Had the regular Nachos with the chicken and as I got the bottom of the dish we could see oil pooled at the bottom and something still not quite right with the seasoning with the chicken. If you can, travel to the Cranbourne Resturant as we have found it to be at a much higher consistent standard. Dropped to 2 stars. :-(

Very long time customer. Recently it seems things have started to go backwards. Desperately needs an injection in customer service, and some quality control in some of the food. Sad considering we've been coming here for years.

Some observations:

Didn't bring little plates out for sharing nachos until we asked. The Fruit margarita wasn't mixed properly (puree at the bottom) - perhaps supply the customer with a spoon? Chicken enchilada tasted like and had Indian spices instead of Mexican? Can't confirm but we know what Latin American food tastes like, and it was definitely different. Took ages for the dessert nachos to come out considering the low numbers of customers in the store.

Conclusion: Overpriced for a casual meal out. Need to bring back the discount evenings and sort out customer service and food quality control, otherwise the rest of the food...
