Staff are friendly and do their best to serve the customers, but I could only leave 3 out of 5 stars, due to: in winter, cafe doors are left open, even when it's very cold outside, not a good way to encourage customers. many staff either don't wear masks properly during COVID-19 restrictions, or don't wear them at all. I was tempted to report these infringements to the authorities, but decided to mention it here instead, so they can address this problem internally. cafe needs more tables, most of the cafe area inside is empty, and unused tables can sometimes be tough to find. menu is very limited, including items such as the cold green pea mush on toast, which I only ordered once (and never again) and I've never seen anyone else order. Some popular items such as eggs benedict and porridge would be nice to have...

Unfortunately the service is getting worse and worse every time I visit. Over the years I used to be a regular and have given the cafe 5 stars previously, but now I only stop past at most twice a month and would only give the cafe 2 stars because of the good food. Recently coffees are always burnt, so I've stopped getting them. No smiles when I am to arrive in store. I ask how the staffs day is going, but I'm completely ignored and this is common on every visit. All three people behind the counter doing nothing from what I can see but talking to each other and refused to bring my takeaway to me outside - so it was cold by the time I got to it, yet they claimed it was fresh and just sitting there for a moment.
