Mixed Experience at Grill'd Malvern - Delicious Food but Disappointing Cleanliness

I recently dined at Grill'd Malvern with my partner, and our experience was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the burgers and chips were delicious and served quickly. They were juicy and fresh, which was a plus. The waiters were also polite and attentive when we were leaving, asking about our experience and wishing us goodbye.

However, the state of cleanliness at the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The floor was filthy, covered with leaves and food debris, and we struggled to find a clean table. We eventually had to ask the staff to clean one for us, which they did with a dirty, smelly rag. The open fridge window in the kitchen was also visibly dirty, and the restroom was in a deplorable state, with a raised toilet seat and an overall unhygienic appearance.

It seemed that the restaurant was understaffed, and the focus was primarily on Uber Eats orders, with bags of takeaway food in a warming oven at the front of the shop. The waiters and waitresses seemed lost, with no one appearing to be in charge or guiding them. The kitchen staff appeared to work well together, but the front of house desperately needed experienced leadership.

Additionally, we were charged $5 for VOS water but received Cool Ridge sparkling water instead, which was quite disappointing.

In summary, while the food at Grill'd Malvern was tasty, the lack of cleanliness and apparent disorganisation in the front of house left us with a negative impression. Until there is a clear improvement in cleanliness and management, I would hesitate to return or recommend this...

Appalling service from unhygienic, unkempt staff, plus average food - what a winner.

Went to the Malvern Grill’d restaurant on Sat 21 July evening. From the point we walked through the door and were seen to a table at the back - it was a mega-average experience.

Gave them the benefit of the doubt though to be fair.

We should have left at that time. I’ve never seen so many genuinely unclean, grubby looking wait staff in any restaurant. From staff wiping their nose with their food prep gloves, long unwashed hair hanging over customers food…handling boxes and rubbish with the same food prep gloves…topped off with a total lack of interest in being present and helping the actual customers. What a circus.

Topped off by a child who proceeded to vomit over tables and floors whilst staff decided on who was hoping to clean it up. They sent some unhygienic staff member with food prep gloves to perform that function also - and left the rest. Are you kidding me?!

Grill’d - from what we observed, you have a serious staff and hygiene issue to attend to.

We will never frequent any of your stores at any stage in the future.

Look at the state of this unclean, disinterested staff member - you can’t allow his hair to hang down and over or around your customers food whilst he’s helping prepare food and eating areas - he can’t even see where he’s going!

Yes - we left early.

In summary, appalling experience, dreadful service, seriously concerning hygiene standards.

Grill’d - please address these issues, locals to the area, out of towners, and your customers in general...

My recent visit to the burger shop, Grilled, left me thoroughly impressed. Opting for the classic choice, I ordered the Simply Grilled burger with a side of chips, and it did not disappoint. The burger was a perfect balance of flavors, with a juicy, well-seasoned patty complemented by fresh toppings and a soft bun. Each bite was a symphony of taste, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.

Beyond the delicious food, what truly stood out was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and attentive service. The staff members went out of their way to ensure that I felt welcome and taken care of throughout my meal.

The ambiance of the restaurant also contributed to the overall positive experience. The casual yet vibrant atmosphere made it the perfect spot to enjoy a satisfying meal with friends or family. Whether seated indoors or outdoors, the relaxed setting provided the ideal backdrop for indulging in some mouthwatering burgers.

Overall, my experience at Grilled was nothing short of delightful. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and inviting ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. I left feeling not only satisfied from the tasty meal but also uplifted by the genuine hospitality of the people there. Grilled has certainly earned a spot on my list of favorite burger joints, and I look forward to returning soon for another...
