Highway Eats Burgers & Kebabs & Coffee - Officer — Restaurant in Melbourne

I recently attended the "grand opening" event at Highway Eats Officer. While I generally refrain from leaving negative reviews, I feel compelled to provide feedback on my experience. Despite the busy atmosphere, I didn't mind waiting an hour for my food. However, my patience wore thin when my burger arrived with mayo despite my clear allergy-related request for none. This happened not once, but twice. Upon raising the issue, I was informed that altering the burger wasn't possible. Had I been informed of this policy prior to ordering or even after the first mistake, I would have been more understanding. Regrettably, the lack of a genuine apology or attempt to rectify the situation left me dissatisfied. Additionally, I noticed that I was still charged for the burger on the bill. I hope sharing this feedback will prompt the owners of Highway Eats Officer to either communicate their inability to accommodate changes or enhance their customer service approach.

Edit: note the many chances ( three) for them try and rectify the issue then being informed no they can’t also I chalked my bank statement and yes I was charged for...

We have tried Highway Eats Officer a few times as the narre location never fails to amaze us. Unfortunately we have been let down again by the Officer location.

The first few times our order arrived wrong, simple things like no sauce on our HSP or wrong meat/missing listed items.

We had also ordered bubble tea and been sent ice tea in a bottle instead.

Last night we ordered via MENULOG. We ordered 2 milkshakes, 2 HSP and some garlic balls. We received the incorrect milkshakes and a note on a napkin saying they are “running out of crunchie” not even that they were out of stock?? instead of contacting us they just gave us a different flavour which neither of us drank. The garlic balls arrived cold and inedible, like they had been sitting out for hours, not even the slightest bit warm. I had the Mac and cheese HSP and the pasta had an odd taste. I tried to pick out the pasta but the bottom had a thick layer of oil which again ended up being inedible.

We ordered a junior burger, a Philly cheese steak sub, potato gem hsp and a cheese and bacon potato cake. We were looking forward to this place opening, but were greatly disappointed.

We Ordered online, got there at the pick up time, and they said “it will be ready in 20 minutes”. Then they went to charge me $12 more than what online said.

The food… Well The burger bun was burnt, the mustard was hot mustard, which we thought was odd, due to it being a kids burger. Otherwise it was tasty. The Philly cheese steak was almost inedible. Bread was so incredibly dry, and the meat was so tough! The potato gems were way undercooked and the hsp had no sauce on it which we thought was odd. The potato cake wasn’t cooked in the middle.
