Location: Bulleen VIC. Just walked in shortly after 9pm and ordered a single Peri Peri Cheeseburger ($2.50) Waited over 5mins for it - slightly minor technicality. During this time; the walk-in before me was presented with his meals, only at "hand over" to be told/asked... "I'm sorry Sir, we've run out of lettuce, I hope this is ok?" Before being handed my single burger (whilst waiting 5mins), I observed the same comments made to two drive-in orders. Some obvious points of note here... Was there ever a discount (perhaps 10c a burger) offered to anyone? NO! We were all still charged the full amount for item(s) which were less the advertised. YES! Was I personally told that there was no 'lettuce' = NO! Was I delivered a Peri Peri Cheeseburger with tomatoes and onion (as pictured, less the no lettuce) = NO! Did anyone in this establishment consider walking some 50 odd meters across the car park to the Coles Supermarket which is open to midnight, every night to buy some lettuce, especially considering the early-ish hours of trading for Hungry Jacks which serves burgers (without lettuce)? NO! Why should I have paid full price for an item which was missing an ingredient? ** Would they have expected to pay full price for Butter Chicken without butter at any of their local establishments? There are other ways to make cost savings. "The Burgers Are Better At Hungry Jack's" ??? Ask yourself again, and again..! Maybe the better slogan for this location is... "Are the burgers better at Hungry Jack's if we still charge full price, but give you half a burger, and don't even tell you...

Coffee machine is turned off nice and early, so don’t expect coffee - even if you were still able to order and pay for it…moments earlier. Then you sit down to eat only to be told you have to leave the dining area because they close in 1.5 hours and need to mop the dining area. Could have mentioned this 5 minutes earlier when taking dine in orders…but nope. Given it would take max 5 minutes to mop, could also attend to this closer to closing time but hey what do I know. Given this dining area was filthy, not one days filth but accumulated long term not being cleaned properly filth, this whole story seemed far from reality. Anyway, after briskly eating, and relocating outside to continue our catch up in the carpark, it seems they didn’t even clean that area that night, just moved on their patrons and did nothing about cleaning before close. The apparent shift manager was central in this debacle, which just leaves you wondering. As a general rule these stores aren’t particularly clean, the food is very slow, drive thru is almost always a 5-10 minute parking bay wait, and it leaves me wondering whether ‘the burgers are better’ is enough if everything else is so lacklustre. I ordered 5 whooper combos for delivery and they sent me 5 burgers (which were cold by the way), 5 drinks and only 2 service of chips instead of 5 as I paid for. I called the store to request my 3 missing service of chips to be sent to my house as I paid for them and the only solution they offered was for me to make another order online (and spend more money) and they would include the missing chips in that second order, I was like “SERIOUSLY you are refusing to send me the chips that I paid for unless I order something else online and spend more money?, I am not asking you for anything free, I am asking you to deliver the food I paid for. They are basically thieves! They kept on making excuses that they don’t do deliveries, that it’s Menulog or Uber Eats or whatever, even though I made my order through the Hungry Jack’s website directly, I didn’t use any other 3rd party company. If they offer delivery, they must have the ability to solve problems like missing items instead of telling people they can’t do anything, I would understand if the error had been from the driver, but it was THEIR ERROR not to pack all the items I ordered and paid for.
