Inspire Thai — Restaurant in Melbourne

I visited with a group of 6. 4 of the people in the group had such an great experience with delivery a few weeks back that they wanted to dine in.

The place was clean and all tables were set and ready for customers however no one was dining in. We had a booking for 6:30 on a Friday and left at 8:30. In that time we saw one table of 6 come in as well and that was all. I'm assuming alot of business is through take away/delivery. So if you want your food fresh and hot, I'd recommend going in for a visit.

The food was amazing! I can't fault anything. Everything was hot, freshly cooked and came out quickly. My whole table stopped talking when the food came out so you know it's good.

Service was okay. I say okay because once our orders were taken, we were kind of forgotten. Which is strange cause we were the only ones in the restaurant for alot of our time there. We ordered around 15 dishes in total. 5 of those came out as entrees. However, when our mains came out, we had empty plates we had to stack up to move out the way. One of us asked if we could have the table cleared to make a bit more room but the worker came back to take only 2 plates. I ended up just moving them to an empty table beside me for more space (which I felt bad about. I didn't want to messy a clean table!!)

As our group was there for a birthday, we brought a birthday cake and left it with staff for after. We ended up just taking the cake home and eating it there. The table was taking to long to clear so it just seemed easier as we had to go to the front to get noticed.

All in all, service wasn't rude or anything so it's not a deterant. The lady was nice when she interacted with us. I don't care about the atmosphere cause I didn't go there for that. The food is great and that's all you need to...

Food Chicken Hokkien Noodles Thick round noodle, with thin slices of chicken and vegetables, simple sweet black sauce.

Non greasy. And good size portion. Pretty generous servings. I ordered for take away

This specific meals is my to go to when I am feeling like a good quality noodle, not too salty, greasy / oily and not all noddles.

Interiors Clean and generous seating. The hard flooring may cause for hard to hear conversations but the tables are flexible enough to pull apart for intimate dining or group dining experiences.

Parking Shared free parking with the surrounding businesses, petrol/ service station and other restaurants.

Don’t know how this place is still open. This is the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Extremely unhappy about both the service and what I received. We wanted 4 satay chicken SKEWERS (which was mentioned to the clueless girl multiple times) and received 3 pad satay instead. Ordered 2 special fried rice and 1 cashew pad. Each pad satay contained 5-6 pieces of chicken, they were 3/4 vegetables floating in that god awful ‘satay’ sauce (If you can call it that, had the consistency of salad dressing and was almost white looking in person). Oh and if that wasn’t already bad enough, this absolute scam of a shop charged $130 for this!!
