Johnny Boys Pizza Mulgrave — Restaurant in Melbourne

We are a regular customer at this outlet, and normally we never have any problems whatsoever with our food, but on our last 3 dealings with them, we always have problems one way or another. 1st time we ordered bbq chicken pizza (if i remembered correctly), with no onion..our order still comes with onion...2nd time, bought a regular size pizza, and got charged for a family size pizza, and 3rd time we bought a volcano pizza, only to get a completely different pizza altogether. And being a takeaway shop, you don't normally checked your order, i.e.just pay, grab your pizza, and walk out, and we won't normally notice something is wrong with our order until you arrived back home. With the 2nd incident where we got charged extra, we didn't notice until we checked our statement from the eftpos transaction. Maybe it's just our bad luck, maybe they were busy and can't cope with orders, regardless 3 mistakes in a row. Will give it a final shot, otherwise, time to look for another...

Ordered meal deal 1, BBQ ribs, and Calabrese pasta. Garlic bread and drink was missing. Told the driver and he told me he will return with drink (i didn't notice missing garlic bread) To be honest, I didn't think that driver would come back. I went inside to call restaurant, that's when I noticed garlic bread was missing. I gave him details of my order, and missing items. Within 5 minutes, driver was back with drink. I saw that garlic bread was still missing, but didn't say anything. Driver was apologetic, polite, and gracious, and above all this, honest, he did come back as he said he would. thank you. a couple of minutes later, a sweet young lady came holding a drink, and garlic bread. I explained that driver already delivered missing drink. She wouldn't take it back stating it was for the inconvenience. Thank you to the whole team for the above and beyond service. Oct 2019. I guess there had been a recent change of owners. Little did we know that, when 2 months ago, we enjoyed our fave " Johnny Special" (with the lot) with really "lots" of delish meat, fresh veg, succulent prawns, olives, anchovies, etc., that would be the last of the best "takeaway" pizza we've ever had. I've given up going to Carlton for a better one when we discovered this little shop in the Waverley Garden complex.

After hyping up this little place to my family and friends, I was terribly disappointed on our recent visit. Gone were the familiar faces and so were the pizza toppings. The "Johnny Special" we had was miserably missing most of the toppings. Where did they go?? I guess the new people didn't know the 'make up' of this pizza.
