Bought dinner for the family here Anzac-eve. My "fast food" order took over half an hour, with no explanation or warning until I went to question it - and the explanation then was that there was a backlog on a particular item, which I wouldn't have ordered in the first place if I'd known. (Although I don't understand why they couldn't have predicted that it would be busy on the eve of a public holiday, and have planned accordingly.) Order was missing items (e.g. ordered 10 wings, got 5; missing chips; wrong sauces - etc. etc.). I completed the KFC feedback agreeing for someone to contact me, received a text saying they'd call within 48 hours...and almost two weeks later, still have not received a call. I've had mediocre experiences at this KFC before - missing items etc. - but this was terrible. Unfortunately the self order stands have provided an opportunity to solely focus on drive through customers whilst completely ignoring walk in eaters. There was only one other person in there waiting for food when we walked in and somehow our order of 4 nuggets, three tenders and two small fries took 20 minutes. Meanwhile there was a very large flow of cars going through drive through. I worked at KFC for 7 years and sadly gone are the days where you order at the counter and the staff put your order together immediately. Ten minutes for an order was totally unacceptable so im not sure how 20 minutes is viewed, especially when several times I caught the staff leaning on the counters talking.
