I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent experience I had when placing an order through your official KFC app from the Wyndham Vale store.
On the evening of July 9th, I placed a delivery order for several snack items, including chicken popcorn and Wicked Wings. I chose delivery through the KFC app as I was unwell and unable to drive. However, the entire process turned out to be frustrating, poorly managed, and frankly, quite upsetting.
After placing my order, I tracked it through the app and noticed that it took over 30 minutes just to allocate a delivery driver. As a result, the kitchen could not begin preparing my meal during this time, which I understand may be your current operating procedure. While I remained patient initially, the situation only worsened.
The estimated delivery time was 7:22 PM, yet even by 7:25 PM, no driver had been assigned. The estimated time continued to extend until a driver was finally found at around 7:40 PM—nearly an hour after I placed the order. By this time, I was starving and understandably frustrated.
What followed was even more disappointing. When I called the Wyndham Vale store for assistance, I was shocked at the response I received. Despite ordering through your official KFC app, the staff member told me there was “nothing they could do” and that I needed to “call DoorDash” directly, as they could not assist with orders placed through the app. When I explained that my order was not made through DoorDash, but rather through your own platform, I was again told bluntly that they couldn’t help and the call was ended abruptly.
I found this response to be extremely unhelpful, dismissive, and frankly quite rude. As a customer, I should not be forced to chase third-party platforms when I have used your official app and trusted your brand to deliver the service promised. If your app uses a third-party for delivery, that should not absolve KFC from accountability. This experience ruined my evening and has left me with serious doubts about using your app or ordering from your stores again.

From the moment I pulled up to the drive-through window, I was greeted with the warmest smile and the friendliest attitude from the order taker named Lola. She provided impeccable service, making my ordering process effortless and enjoyable.
I cannot emphasize enough how great Lola's customer service was. Not only did she have a welcoming demeanor, but she also had a wealth of knowledge about the menu and was happy to help me choose the perfect meal for my cravings.
What really stood out to me was how patient and attentive she was. She took her time to ensure that my order was accurate and made sure to ask if there was anything else I needed. Lola made the entire process feel personalized and I felt like a valued customer.
It's clear that she takes pride in her job and genuinely cares about providing the best experience possible for KFC customers. Her positive attitude and excellent communication skills really made my visit to KFC a memorable one.
In a fast-paced industry like fast food, it's refreshing to come across an employee who goes above and beyond in providing exceptional customer service. Lola is a true asset to her job, and I hope her efforts are recognized and celebrated by management.
Aside from the amazing customer service, I was pleasantly surprised by the short wait time. I mean, who doesn't love getting their hands on some delicious chicken without having to wait for ages? KFC Wyndham Vale definitely knows how to keep their customers happy by delivering food quickly and efficiently.
And let's talk about the food itself. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just as you'd expect from KFC. The sides were equally delicious, with the fries being perfectly salted and the coleslaw being fresh and creamy.

I had to visit Wyndham Vale for business-related inquiries and after a long day, I needed to fill up on something for the long drive home. Upon entering the KFC a stench so foul greeted me, something of a slaughterhouse, the air felt thick and sickening. The queue was long and the wait to order my meal was at least 10 minutes. The girl at the counter was sweet but I could not understand a word! Some sort of broken English?? thankfully though, my meal had been ordered but during the task of such something caught my eye, something in the kitchen. A man? or woman? This person, figure, or thing, looked like Gollum in an apron. Keep in mind, I am at least 10 meters away from this person and I thought I could smell them from that far, I could see the dirtiness, the unwashed hair, the slouching posture. I noticed too these tattoos on his arms? some kind of red car and kids cartoons? this itself, this person completely turned me off from eating, I still grabbed my meal and threw it away. How could they let someone like this in a kitchen? let alone cooking the food?? I am baffled that this has not been run by food safety supervisors. what exactly is the point of so many regulations and rules when something like this is happening? it is a disgrace.
