Re: Hi, sorry it was not a miscommunication, first of all the only take away bag she “assumed” for delivery was not checked even when my husband asked her to check for my name on it. She just straight away said no without checking. I mean the receipt on that bag have both my name and the code. That response is not miscommunication but just refusal to help and you should not be telling a customer not to order for pick up on uber eats if there’s an option available on it. Defeats the purpose. We are first time customers who stumble on your restaurant on Uber Eats app, we would not even know about your business and location if it wasn’t for Uber Eats, thats why we decided to pick it up instead. And he shouldn’t even have to explain himself that it’s Uber Eats as it’s as simple as checking the only take away bag to check. Also, we have picked up orders through Uber Eats without any problem or explaining ourselves that it’s through Uber Eats.
Thank you
Service makes a difference... my husband was just there before to pick up our order from Uber eats. Who ever was working there before could not be bothered to try and look for the order. My husband provided my name AND order number. The lady whoever she is just stood there and straight away told him that there was no such order.. did not even move to look or try to see, just straight up and said no order when there’s a paper bag of order sitting (like what I said could not be bothered moving to look and use her eyes) He was there for 20 minutes and yes he tried to call me to make sure. Which he shouldn’t as he have the number with him + my name. Yes the food is good but the frustration my husband was getting all because of this unhelpful lady makes the who thing change. He was very good not to lose it as the whole problem was on this particular person serving that just could not be bothered helping. Please make sure you serve people as your job description and apologise if you’ve made mistakes. It actually is frustrating to have my husband to come home upset all because of a very lazy service. Extremely...
Read moreAs someone who rarely goes to the West, I never expected to dine in a restaurant in Caroline Springs.
We were invited to try our Kimasu and their new 2024 menu. My partner has actually been to Kimasu in the past, maybe a few years ago and has raved to me about their poke bowls. So we had to try them this time around.
We had: Takoyaki 6pcs ($9.8) - The takoyaki balls were coated in the yummy sauce, my partner basically devoured them. Spicy Cali Poke Bowl ($17) - My partner states that Kimasu have been consistent with the poke bowls since he has had them last. He said it’s exactly the same and he enjoyed it as it is one of the best poke bowls he has ever had. Beef Udon Gyudon ($17) - My partner and I both really liked this, it was super slurpable and the broth reminded me of sukiyaki broth. The beef was a little bit on dryer side but that was okay, it didn’t really bother us. Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen ($19) - I was craving ramen so I wanted to try their chashu ramen. The broth itself was flavourful and the chashu was super tender and easy to bite through. The egg was soft boiled and not the soy marinated egg that you would get at other places. They gave a good heaping of corn and the portion was actually pretty big. Tokyo Strest Fries ($13) - These fries were topped with cheese, nori, furikake and spicy mayo. I found them to be very umami and not too heavy as a side. I really liked them and would definitely get them again.
Most menu items at Kimasu are under $20 so you can definitely call it a cheap eats. I find that the portions for the price was pretty sizeable and was enough to fill us...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment was utterly disappointing. After a lengthy flight overseas, my group and I arrived for dinner to find a packed house. We dutifully provided our name and number to the waiter, who indicated and pointed that a certain table would soon be available very shortly. As we didn't want to stand over the people still finishing their food, we stood outside looking at the menu and the waiter said she will call us back inside once she had cleared the table. There was also a takeaway ordering line so people were coming in and out.
However, our patience was rewarded with frustration. While we waited outside, another group bypassed the supposed queue, entered, and took the table we were allocated. Their excuse? They had already ordered using the QR code on the table while the present group was still finishing up their food and waiting for their takeaway drink orders.
This blatant disregard for basic courtesy and the flawed system left us bewildered. Even more disheartening was the waitress's apparent cluelessness in handling the situation. The waitress was laughing? In the end, we stood our ground and they ended up moving but it was such an unpleasant and awkward situation. And seriously... who does that?
It's clear this establishment needs to revamp its table management and walk-in system. A simple 'please wait to be seated' sign would help prevent such chaos in the future. Overall, a deeply unsatisfactory experience that could have been easily avoided with better organisation and respect...
