Per my latest delivery and experience I wanted to update my review but left the old one below so people can see the difference.

This time everything went well and as it was supposed to be. The website experience was smooth, the site is improved, now I can select the day I want the delivery. If you want to complain, you can complain that the delivery times are only 5-8pm but that works great for me so no issues there. I received my order the next day (as selected) and between 5-8 pm as stated on the website. I was able to find everything I needed. They also called me and asked how was my experience this time. I am very happy about the website and most likely to come back again.

Previously (one star experience): My experience is horrible!

The website does not reflect the stock they have, they sell you goods they don't have in stock.They promise a delivery time of 1-3 days which is a lie. I waited for 3 days and called them on the 4th day, they weren't even aware that I had an order. I'm told they will deliver "tomorrow".

This didn't happen, I called them on th 7th day again. This time I'm told they don't have the stock for an item and they were waiting for the stock. They didn't even bother letting me know. I got that item cancelled and I'm again told that they will deliver "tomorrow".

This is the 8th day (which is the second tomorrow I'm promised) and I still didn't...

We have been ordering from tales of India since 3 yrs. All our orders have been big and heavy. we live in the city, we expected them to deliver the heavy items at the concierge.The delivery guy was rude and expected us to walk 200meters to collect the order. ones we reached, he said because you wasted my time I don't want to deliver the order to you, snatched and walked away. we called for help at the customer service and the lady who answered was rude and said 'do you expect us to do all the work and you sit and watch? she did not acknowledge our loyalty as customers. also the parking access was denied because we would need to walk one block around to get access for them which wasn't convenient. and delivery fee is free above a denoted number. Also Fatima was the one who instead of giving resolution at the time is trying to resolve the issue at a later date. we also asked for them to take their order back and they denied it. they forced me to collect the order. not looking forward to doing any business with them. Excellent service for ruining our festival. Ordered a delivery for 3-6pm and they didnot care to show up untill 8:30pm after requesting them to deliver soon which was their logistics fault and they were not even sorry for their mistake. What is the point of asking us to choose the time interval if you are delivering in your convenient time. They were not even ready to cancel my order and the lady arrogantly says it is diwali for them and not only mine there were several other orders.Ofcourse I understand you guys are bysy. But you should atleast deliver at 6 pm for 3 to 6 delivery but they set the time for me after I called them and asked about the order and the lady said it is mentioned in our website that the delivery can be delayed but they didnot mentioned in website that we will spoil your festivals and neglect your orders.. worst service and experience ever.
