Authentic Filipino fast food in Melbourne, doesn’t get any better than St Burgs. We got to try so many things off the menu and I’m really glad I brought a few friends because this was a massive feast for us little piggies 🐷.
Spaghetti Filo Bento ($36) - The spaghetti had a sweeter tomato sauce which was pretty good. The chicken was super crispy and juicy. The gravy was such a bonus. The durger steak and mushroom gravy was really good, I like how this was part of the bento. Crispy Sisig Tacos ($22) - the guys really liked how crispy the tacos were and how flavourful they were. Honey Chipotle Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18) - A really good chicken sandwich, had lots of sauce which made it yum. The Double D ($18) - Smashed patties are 🤩 Loved how the patties are crispy on the edges. The Bacon D ($18) - I liked this one, I was really craving a cheeseburger with bacon so this was perfect. Filosangne ($15) - An elevated version of the lasagne you would get at the school canteen. We all liked this one. Western Fried Wings ($13) - Crispy wings, coated nicely and they were still moist on the inside. The Philly D ($22) - Super cheesy and hefty, this had a really good amount of meat as well as cheese & cheese sauce. Adobo Shaker Fries ($8) - I am still thinking of these fries… I loved the seasoning it was just perfect and I would go back just for this. Onion onion ($8) - Onions were coated nicely and had a good crunch. Peach Mango Float ($10) - The sweetest shake of all 3 filo drinks but still really good. Pandan Shake ($10) - I am unsure about the pandan one, this one tasted a bit artificial to me, I just didn’t enjoy it as much. Ube Shake ($10) - Still as good as the first time I had it. I love coconut jelly so this was definitely a must have.
Honestly, if you haven’t had St Burgs, you’re definitely missing out! I highly recommend their smashed burgers as well as their filo bento box & adobo...

Use to love this place when I first heard about it and ate it.
Especially when I use to work in the area and come regularly for lunch.
I use to think this place was the best burger I've ever had in Melbourne.
2 years later... The particular burger I usually have - The double D is flatten so flat, that there is barely any meat and its mostly burnt this was at the Maribyrnong shop.
2 months later from this experience, hoping things were still originally the same at the main Caroline Springs store.
I waited at the front desk waiting to be served while 3-4 staff members were in the kitchen and another around the dining area.
Whilst waiting to be served, another customer comes through and hits the bell then gets served before us?
I didn't know that it was changed from staff being attentive at all times whilst having a balance of fun internally to first person to hit the bell is the person that gets served.
In addition to this, I ordered a double D and a Bacon D. I received 1 and half bacon D? 1 Bacon D had tomato and lettuce in it and the other didn't.
So they even got the order wrong.
The back to back bad experience, which I never had a single negative experience for a whole year when I use work in the area is gob-smacking.
I will most likely never make the trip back as it is no longer worth it.
The food has gone backwards and also the customer service.
Although maybe still worth a try for those who have never tried before, but certainly not as good as...
Read moreFirst time customer at this branch, I arrived just before 9:00PM. I ordered for take-away and already knew that the place is busy. I waited 45 minutes only to be given incomplete meal. Given that they're busy, 45 minutes is still a long wait. Moreover, I was told to wait for "2 minutes" for the peach mango shake as they're still making it. I was asked by another staff what I was waiting for, I said the shake. 5 minutes more, another staff gave a shake to another customer who was behind me on the line and she asked me what I was waiting for. She asked another staff at the kitchen about my order and it was not even started yet. I witnessed how she hastily started making the shake. In total, I waited for 55 minutes for the full order to be provided. Unbelievable! For the food, it was just okay. Palabok was full and flavourful. Fried chicken was tasty and good portion. Burger steak was burnt on the sides and its sauce is missing in flavour. The rice is like a sticky rice, it sticks pretty well to the paper wrap wasting around 30% of it. And the much awaited shake has no peach nor mango taste to it, it's more of a biscoff. Good thing that I like biscoff. The place is rather rowdy and noisy with bunch of crowds coming at around 9:35PM and leaving just before 10PM. Overall, I frequent their other branch and I have well enjoyed their food and service...
