KooWeeRup Bakery — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have never left a review before but felt this one needed it. Don’t dare to ask politely for a knife and fork. Explained I couldn’t eat properly and could I please have a knife and fork to eat a sandwich. My voice has issues and my neck doesn’t look normal so you would be able to tell there was something going on. The way the lady responded to me was disgusting and humiliating. The action and the look and the rolling of the eyes that came with the we don’t normally give out cutlery was extremely upsetting. Well we sat outside whilst I tried to eat my sandwich with knife and fork out of a paper bag, not even a plate. I returned the cutlery and spoke to another lady, telling her I have had mouth and neck cancer and couldn’t eat property. I explained what had happened. She was very nice and apologetic. The Koo Wee Rup Bakery .. what a bakery. I dread having to come here because the customer service is absolutely awful, honestly. It’s a shame that this is the only bakery in town otherwise I would go elsewhere. It’s getting to the point where I’d rather just get food from our local Woolies rather than deal with these really nasty people, one in particular. It just ruins my day every time I come here! I’d hate for the same to happen to anyone else. (However it’s saddened me as I’ve seen plenty of posts about the customer service being terrible here). After riding our motorbikes to the general area looking at properties, it was decided that we would stop in Koo Wee Rup at the bakery to have a snack and build some stamina back up. I am so glad that I was shouted because I am still in shock that a plain white roll, with no butter, one piece of cheese, two pieces of tomato and three small red onion rings totalled $8.80. I wish I could make this make sense.

We sat outside and as it was around 3pm, the buses and truck traffic made this less than palatable.
