I'm a regular customer & noticed my last 2 pizza's from here were very average. By that I mean, there was no love put into making them. For example; too much mushroom, ingredients not in proportion, not evenly distributed etc.Tonight I ordered (and paid for) extra pineapple when the restaurant was quiet, and they forgot, and the ingredients on the pizza did not taste fresh. I then decided to call to give the Manager feedback. The rude Manager pushed it back on me, claiming because I asked for extra ingredients it was "up for interpretation". I told the Manager that was interesting as their interpretation did not include the pineapple I paid for. The Manager offered to replace the Pizza, but was pushy and wanted me to come back immediately. I said that as I had an early start in the morning, I did not have time to wait for another pizza to be made and decided to eat it anyway. He then put a cut off date of just 5 days to redeem his offer, otherwise the deal was off. I then complained & said i'm not a person who can eat junk food every week. Very reluctantly, the Manager extended his offer to 12 days. I won't be taking it up, and despite being a local resident, will not be returning my custom. They have lost my business. And I will be informing their Head Office as well. My advice? If you don't want average pizzas and attitude from their Manager, go...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at La Porchetta South Yarra while picking up a DoorDash order. I received a three-item order at 5:02 PM on 08/02/25, Saturday and arrived at the restaurant by 5:05 PM. Upon asking if my order was ready, I was told it would take 15 more minutes.
I followed up multiple times, emphasizing the urgency of my delivery, and was repeatedly told “just five more minutes.” Meanwhile, at around 5:20 PM, three white men with a larger order arrived. Despite placing my order earlier and waiting significantly longer, they received their food within 10 minutes, while I was left waiting for over 30 minutes with no urgency or clear response from the staff.
The restaurant was nearly empty, with only about three customers dining in—not at all what one would expect on a Saturday. On top of that, the place seemed a tad unclean, adding to the overall unpleasant experience. There was no clear reason for such a delay. At that point, I felt completely disrespected and walked out, choosing to take up the issue directly with DoorDash.
Whether this was due to staff shortages or something more concerning, the lack of effort in providing clear communication and fair service was unacceptable. This experience left me questioning the restaurant’s service standards and fairness in customer treatment.

Read moreOne of the many branches across Australia serving Italian food at a reasonable price. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not too busy. We had 5 toddlers with us and the place was spacious and empty enough for the kids to run around towards the back of the restaurant. The staff was kind enough to let them run around as long as they are not running in the main dining area so positive points there. There was only one staff member working in front of the house while we were there so it was a little hectic for her when she was taking our order midway she had to welcome people into the restaurant. Food still comes out relatively quick and has a decent portion to it. Taste wise it was just average, but we come here for the kids to have the space and the fact we are not disturbing other patrons.
