We ordered chicken satays, curry puffs and steamed rice last night and sadly, they were all below average. The chicken was extremely dry and bland. It tasted as if the chicken had been twice-cooked...to the point that a fork could not remove them from the skewers. The rice appeared as if it had been in a rice cooker for hours, as it had a crust and totally unacceptable! I have never written a negative review, however, after numerous orders and many 'benefit of the doubt' chances, we shall not be purchasing any future orders from Leelavadee.
I hope that they take a serious look at the presentation and standard of their food...and make a genuine effort to...
Read moreAfter a month long visit to Thailand some years back, I have struggled to find real Thai food in Oz, so I learnt how to make it traditionally myself. That resulted in me no longer ordering Thai food in Oz.
Tonight I decided to test the waters again….still convinced there is little to no good, authentic real Thai food in this country unless you do it yourself, or you are friends with Thai’s. Restaurants clearly are not sharing the good stuff.
My review of dinner was it is “good for an old person that has stomach issues with sensitive taste buds”.
In the mean time, I’ll keep cooking real Thai...

Its funny all the reviews says its authentic but its all coming from non-thais and i wouldnt want to trust their reviews now.
The food is terrible, the beef was dry, the prawn fried rice had no flavour - the rice was soggy and moist, the chicken satay was soft but flavourless, tom yum soup was too sweet not spicy, food came out 2 minutes after our order, questionable? Microwaved food? Seriously if you dont trust my review come in and eat and be disappointed like i am now. If i am right, please write an honest review...
