What a disappointment! We have eaten at this restaurant for years and years. Enough to call it my local Thai go-to. Well not anymore and all because of a very poor take away experience that was made worse by the staffs failure to fix a simple error where they gave one of our dishes to another customer. As background - amongst a larger family order I ordered a specific dish for my young daughter - not something on the menu. I was prepared to wait the 25 minutes for them to make it and I did wait. When the order was finally ready they handed it to me and off I went. I should have double checked that everything was there but given we only ordered 4 dishes I didn’t think they could mess it up. On getting home, we noticed 1 of the dishes wasn’t included. I called and they said they must have given it away and would make another one and deliver it straight away. Well - 40 minutes later I called again as nothing had been delivered. Lots of excuses about how busy they were. The missing meal was not yet cooked. Almost 1 hour after leaving the restaurant there is a knock on the door and a meal is pretty much thrown at me. Again no apology, no offer to refund the cost of the meal or mention of any compensation. At this point I just wanted the meal... I had a sick six year old who wanted her dinner. Take it into the kitchen and guess what.... it wasn’t even what I had ordered. To be specific... the missing dish was to be flat noodles, tofu and egg in a ginger sauce. Read moreThe food was superb, the service exceptional. My wife and I will return, but only when we have been told that the following issues have been resolved: The front door closer needs adjustment. Almost every time someone entered or left the restaurant, the door slammed hard enough to rattle the windows. This should be a relatively easy fix, and not too expensive. 2: The toilets are disgusting. 3 There are patches of linoleum that are lifting. This is an OSH issue, and could be costly if a customer (or a staff member) should have an accident as a result. The young manager Maria did everything right. I then checked my bill to see whether I was charged for the original dish or the incorrect one they served.
