The aesthetic of this place, really matched its location. Being near the beach, and having a colour scheme and vibe to match that, enhanced the experience.
On the other hand, the food seemed pretty average. I went with my partner, and we both ordered the Filipino inspired dishes, being Filipino ourselves. My partner ordered the Ube pancakes, they were tasty and the ube flavouring was strong and made you want to go back for more. In saying that, the serving size was quite small. Read moreMantecado is our go to place in Black Rock. The team there really look after you well and cannot do enough for you. The coffee is without doubt the best in the village and the menu and food quality is amazing. Also they have a hidden courtyard at the rear of the cafe which is fabulous for a sunny day. Give the Mantecado's a try you won't regret it.
