I organized to visit Many hands winery for lunch and wine tasting on Sunday with 4 of my girlfriends. We were greeted warmly by the staff and informed that we should order our food before starting our wine tasting as it meant our food would be ready shortly after our tasting. The wine tasting was informative and fun and we learnt about the vines and their origins. The food was delicious and the portions very generous. We shared the antipasto platter between us and all ordered our mains. As soon as I saw the gnocchi I had food envy. However the marinara was wonderful with a large amount of seafood. Not your usual supermarket mix. Then we ordered a selection of desserts. I highly recommend the tiramisu and Nutella pizza. We ordered many bottles during our lunch and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We also well and truly stayed longer than the 2 hours allocated and not once did the staff mind. After reading the negative reviews I was worried about bringing my friends here, but our experience was brilliant, so much that I am booking again in 2 weeks for a Xmas lunch with family. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel welcome.

We left booking lunch at winery too close to the date, so somehow ended up here that isnt fully booked, and they dont have set menu which is what I prefer for just casual lunch. The place is pretty with big glass windows where you can see rows of vines. Inside is nice enough but still casual, not very formal. They have the pizza oven inside which is a nice sight. Staff are very friendly and easy going. Tried their antipasti platter that says for 2-4 people but to be honest it was more for 2 people, really. I like their cheese and pickled cabbage in the platter. Then tried 3 different pizzas: margherita, capriciosa, and Italian sausage. They are quite small size, but dough was quite filling and fluffy. I like the Italian sausage one most because it has plenty of cheese on it. Not the best pizza I have had but generally pretty good. Overall very good meal and paid less than $35 per person. Will come back for another casual lunch

We were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday, it was a rainy day and we were booked for lunch, we were treated like royals even though the winery was busy and almost every table full we were offered plenty of attention with great banter and smiles, what a great dining experience, we had the banquet lunch on the recommendation of the fine gentlemen that greeted us with a smile and humour, actually all the staff were brilliant, antipasto, salad, pizza, pasta, dessert, coffee was part of the banquet. We had a beautiful view of the vineyard, the Chardonnay and Pino were excellent. The wood fire pizza was superbly delicious, great base and fresh toppings, the pumpkin ricotta gnocchi was melt in the mouth amazing, the pasta cooked al dente absolutely no complaints about the food, wine or service. We had a absolutely wonderful day.

A most unfortunate and upsetting experience! Beware if you have any allergies or food intolerances - no care taken whatsoever by chefs or wait staff. If I could give no stars or negative stars I would. I was shocked when I received my order (stipulated CLEARLY with the waiter, numerable times, may I add, that I could not eat any type of onion or gluten) and received a dish covered in spring onion and had 'normal' bread on it. It was sent back. The waiter was rude and dismissive. OK. Second dish comes, stale GF crackers (that I would NEVER serve to anyone), I begin eating to find more spring onion at the bottom of the dish. I fish it out. I complain. Rude waiter begins argument in front of other patrons. Unprofessional. The manager arrives, we agree to step outside. (Small business yes, we want to support you, yes, and just because my day is not going well, it should not disrupt other patrons.) Manager is kind, gives required support and takes dish off bill. Thank you. A short time later, we go to pay. Manager no where in sight. Female chef comes out from kitchen. Reads back order, all ok, we go to pay. I casually ask, "Are you the chef that made the prawn dish that was covered in spring onions?" Her reply is, "yes", and begins to laugh at me. The very young 'pizza boy' - (to the left, behind her) is watching and listening and begins to laugh as well. I then say, "Do you understand that I will now be ill - the food was cross contaminated." (If you don't know, you simply don't know how it feels, but, it's debilitating.) She continues to laugh - the other chef, (male, a little older also within sight), makes a run to the door. I repeat myself again, and she continues to laugh along with the boy, and proceeds to hide in the kitchen. I am left at the counter. Seriously? Manager enters restaurant from outside door. We go outside again. I explain how disrespected I felt, how disappointed I am, (not only with the food), the rude male waiter, (not the female - she was trying her best), the service (incredibly slow - don't tell me you are a small business, that's a feeble excuse, hire good people), and then a disrespectful chef and pizza boy. He agrees that's not on, and we leave without paying. Thank you. I was sick that night and part of the following morning. Clearly, not a place I...

My wife and I had lunch there today. I was drawn by their website that bragged 'Thanks to our 100% wood-fired oven we are know for some of the best pizza’s in the Valley'. I'm still not sure how you can have a less than 100% wood-fired oven. I'm on crutches at the moment and the walk to the restaurant was via either a long set of steps or a steepish gravel driveway that my wife slipped on and nearly fell. Anyway, we were shown to a table by the owner who seemed friendly enough and he started to recommend some menu choices. So far, so good except that he didn't stop. He seemed to want to tell us about every item on the menu. So, we ordered two pizzas, a bottle of Chardonnay and dessert. The wine arrived, brought by the owner. It was a pleasant drop but a little overpriced. The pizzas arrived soon after, also brought by the owner. He repeated the website claim that the pizzas were 100% wood-fired. They were ok too but definitely didn't rate 'best pizzas in the valley'. Mine dripped oil. The manager came and started clearing our plates and then said "Oh, sorry, you're still eating. I'll put your plates back." When we had really finished, we stacked our plates on the side of the table so he could see we had finished. He never came back and dessert never arrived. Another table called out and said 'Where's our dessert?' I couldn't get his attention and, after waiting for about 40mins, we gave up and went to pay the bill. Once again, the owner served us and asked if we had enjoyed our meal. I replied that it was ok but we got tired of waiting for dessert. He replied "I'm sorry but it's hard for me to do everything. Would you like a take-away dessert for $$$?" We declined and left. In all, winery prices on everything but the service and meals didn't match our...

Incredibly disappointing, I haven’t ever left a negative review but this is a PSA - Never have a I been to a winery where the wait staff, one in particular, have made me want to immediately get up and leave. The only reason I didn’t was because I was trying to enjoy a nice day with family. Our waitress completely ruined the entire experience, she was very condescending and was telling me I had agreed to a set menu (which I had specifically asked if we had to have and was told no). When I tried to explain this didn’t happen, I was told I had agreed to terms and conditions over the phone when speaking to another staff member upon making the initial booking months in advance (this also never happened, no one mentioned terms and conditions when I was making the booking). We were left with no option other than to dine on the set menu. Furthermore, we had asked multiple times to have garlic pizzas and instead received herb, were then accused of trying to dine and dash (we were absolutely not doing this, we went outside to take photos…). To put the icing on the cake, we ended up spending a lot more money than we had anticipated due to being forced to dine on the set menu. Will absolutely never be coming back and no one else should waste their time or money either. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also, Many Hands, I’ve read your reviews on other negative comments, that fact that you are a small family run business isn’t an excuse for poor customer service and certainly isn’t a reason people are leaving...
