Having worked in fast food myself, I understand how stressful it can be during busy periods, especially when understaffed. I came to this maccas tonight through a very busy drive through and was happy to patiently wait for my order. I ordered a chocolate frappe. By the time I got it, it was completely melted so I had to go inside to get a new one. Once I got inside I could see how poorly managed the restaurant was. First of all, it was like walking into a dump. Food flowing out of rubbish bins, grubby prints all over self service machines and floors caked in filth. Service at the counter was ridiculously slow. Once I finally requested a new frappe it took 10 minutes to get me a new one. Some people were complaining that they were waiting for food for up to 20 minutes. There was noone at the register to take orders. The two girls packing orders on the other side of the counter had no sense of urgency and one of them had an attitude. No apology, no understanding, just shoved food at her customers. The manager was packing orders for the drive through and making fries. Occasionally she would call out "please double check your orders". But aside from that, there was no direction from her to her team to pull it together and work cohesively. She would look over at the counter, see that it was unstaffed and just continue what she was doing. The two girls who were packing orders were inspecting napkins at one stage while they waited for food to be prepared rather than taking orders at the counter.
Looked like there was enough staff for the restaurant to operate satisfactorily, staff just needed direction and maybe better training.
Oh and my frappe was still melted and just made half of whipped cream. I couldn't be bothered waiting another 20 mins for another...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. Placed an order through the self service at 11:14pm (a chicken and cheese meal and a double beef and bacon meal with no bun) and went to pay cash at the till the girl (Rebecca Holter) didn’t even acknowledge me and snatched my money from me. Then finally got my meal at 11:39pm opened it up to make sure it was all there and the chips were stale cold, burger was cold and filled with oil so I politely asked if I could please speak to the manager she then said “she’s busy but I can help you” so I said could I please get these re made we’ve just waited 15 minutes and everything is cold she rolled her eyes and took my food off me then was complaining to me to the other workers saying “I don’t care it’s my last week here” anyway I’m waiting for my food and the kitchen boy with no hat on scratches his back with his gloves on and then proceeded to touch my food and the meat (highly disgusting) so I say to the girl (look I’m sorry I understand your busy and that the manager is busy but i would really like to speak to her” manager comes and doesn’t care at all about anything g I’ve said gives me a refund and says we will re make it all with clean gloves on. I get my burgers and the girl hands it to me and says “here’s your burgers have a good night” I ask what about the fries and she says “you’ve made us remake your burgers your not getting the fries” I told her that I was absolutely appalled with her customer service stills and she said “I don’t care they can’t fire me or anything I’ve already quit” and then just...
Read moreOh, McDonald’s Cranbourne North, where do I begin? If you’re in the mood for a truly unique experience, where fast food is a relative term and customer service is more of a theoretical concept, this is the place for you!
First off, let’s talk about the drive-thru—aptly named, because you’ll be driving through your patience, your sanity, and possibly your entire afternoon. Who knew that asking for a simple cheeseburger would be like requesting a bespoke, hand-crafted gourmet meal? I almost felt guilty for the inconvenience.
And the staff! What a charming group of culinary wizards who, by some miracle, manage to confuse “no cheese” with “extra cheese” every single time. It’s like they’re playing a game to see how wrong they can get your order. I admire the commitment, really.
The highlight of my visit was when I received my “fresh” fries. I didn’t know they meant fresh from the Ice Age, perfectly preserved and still ice-cold. Nothing says ‘quality’ like fries that double as ice packs.
Let’s not forget the dining area. If you enjoy the ambiance of a daycare center after a food fight, then you’re in luck! Sticky tables, unidentifiable spills, and the faint scent of regret wafting through the air—it’s all part of the charm.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a place that redefines incompetence, look no further than McDonald’s Cranbourne North. They’ve truly mastered the art of disappointing customers. Zero stars, but only because negative stars...
