Miss Moose Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

We used to come to Miss Moose regularly last year, but lately have been disappointed, particularly with the service. Requested a table for a group of 6. Was seated, when our 6th party member let us know they weren't able to make it. We let the staff know when ordering to only be told quite harshly that that table needed to be kept clear for a group of six, and were moved to a small table for 4 with a 5th seat added to the end, only to then watch them seat a single guy at one end and another on the other side of that table? In a half empty cafe, what was the point of upsetting our catch up for that and moving 5 of us? Unfortunately for them, it frustrated us enough that we paid for our coffees and went to the pub for lunch, leaving miss moose missing out on our business. A shame really, it used...

i often stop for a coffee, which is always exceptional!

however this time the food was really average tbh unlike previous visits.

we order a chicken, turkish bread foccacia type of roll and a salad for my partner. both were bland.

the chicken was not appetizing at all...

the salad was too crunchy and burnt on one side.

the menu doesnt have much to offer and probably needs a change.

pricing for the quality of the food we received was over the top expensive compared to other cafes i have visited

i am hoping it was just the one off and the food improves in the future and i can come back and give a positive review.

Easy to find location, although limited parking (we just parked around the corner no dramas). Were seated right away and given some water to share. Left to peruse the menu and we're ready to order in about two minutes. Had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to come over and take our order, despite both myself and my partner making eye contact with employees. Not really sure why that was as other people arrived and were offered to order drinks right away. When we were finally served service was excellent and very friendly staff. Food only took between 5 and 10 mins after ordering to come out and WOW their food is amazing. I'm glad we didn't leave earlier.
