Tulsi Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Did a pick up order. On arrival the server identified that a packet of chicken balls was missing. I accepted that they cook more for us as offered. I also questioned the total size of the packet and asked if it was complete. She assured me it was. I got home only to find that about half the meal was missing. After ringing, they arraned for the missing components to be deliverred (with some ice cream as an apology) . Overall the food was tasty but the takeaway containers were smaller than other restaurants and the samosas were also quite small, yet the family pack we ordered was more expensive than other indian restaurants. Food was good but service was terrible. Butter chicken very sweet but tasty, Beef Vindaloo and Naan bread were highlights. One of our group waited 20 minutes after we got our mains. There was 6 people in the restaurant its not that hard surely. Lowlight was the lack of service, one guy who was serving, sat on a table on his phone with his feet in thongs on a chair. Only got up when delivery people arrived. 50% of drinks on menu not available, and what is, is ridiculously overpriced. $11 for a Carlton Draught, is a joke which is probably why only 6 people in the restaurant on a weekend. Disgusting service. Before placing our order we asked if there were any nuts or seafood in the food and we were told no. We ordered butter chicken and my friend had an allergic reaction. We called the restaurant back and they confirmed cashews to be in the butter chicken. The staff member on the phone was arguing with my friend about whether we asked or not. This is disgusting behaviour. My friend could have died. No apology. I will never buy here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. They could have killed my friend and they weren’t even sorry.
