My family and I recently visited Momos and Chillies for a casual dinner, and overall, it was a satisfactory experience. We decided to try out a variety of dishes, starting with the Momos Platter. While it was decent, it didn't particularly stand out compared to other momos platters I've had before.
Next, we opted for the Jhol Momos, which were also alright. The flavor was decent, but again, nothing extraordinary. However, the texture of the momos was just right, and they were cooked well.
The highlight of our meal was definitely the Chowmein noodles. They were flavorful, smoky, and had the perfect blend of spices. The noodles had a nice chewy texture and were loaded with vegetables and well-cooked. It was easily the best dish we had during our visit, and I would highly recommend trying it if you visit Momos and Chillies.
Lastly, we tried the Manchurian Momos, and they were absolutely awesome. The combination of the savory momos and the tangy Manchurian sauce was delightful. The momos were tender, and the sauce had the right amount of spice to give it a flavorful kick. It was a definite hit among our group, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
While our dining experience was generally good, we did face a minor issue with our table booking. Despite booking in advance, our reservation didn't go through, which caused some inconvenience. However, the cashier at Momos and Chillies was a good guy and quickly apologized for the inconvenience. He took our feedback seriously and made sure we were comfortable during our visit.
Overall, Momos and Chillies is a decent place to satisfy your momo cravings. While some dishes like the Momos Platter and Jhol Momos were average, the Chowmein noodles and Manchurian Momos made up for it with their delicious flavors. Just be cautious when it comes to table bookings and double-check to avoid...
Read moreI seriously don't believe how this restaurant has 4 stars rating. I usually don't leave a bad review, but after dining in here I felt responsible to add this review.
The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming, staff was like he had to wake up (in the evening) to come to work.
The food was one of the worst I have ever eaten in my life. We ordered 3 dishes, the cooking can't be bad for all three of it isn't bad.
The chowmins: it was like we were eating raw salt with soy sauce.
The Momo Jhol: the worst of the worst, it was served cold, yellow Jhol (never seen this colour before), it was so sour that one might as well squeeze lime and lemon in their mouth. And the Momo itself was so stale that when we pick it up with spoon the top layer came off of the Momo and the inside was hard as a rock. My best bet is it was all frozen and they just microwaved it, which wasn't done properly either.
The Thukpa: it wasn't good either. Again it was sour. Couldn't eat more than 4 spoons.
We wasted all the food and vomited the one we had eaten after getting home.
The only thing good was can of Coke
Would never visit ever again or recommend to anyone.
