MyRestaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Just had dinner with my family here. We are regulars and usually enjoy the food and ambience. We asked for bottle water, and to my horror my son had a glass and it was bleached water!!!!! We smelled the bleach but thought floors were mopped or benches wiped and didn’t think anything of it. I had a mouthful and wanted to vomit straight away and my lips and stomach felt like they were burning!! Spoke to the 2 ladies to advise them and was told to get another bottle! I asked them to taste the water so they know that it’s definitely bleach or some sort of strong cleaning product that wasn’t rinsed or washed out properly. Smell was on my hands aswell!! I had to go outside to spit and wanted to vomit but tried to hold it together as I didn’t want to make a scene with other diners inside. After this, they said we can just get some bottled water from the fridge whilst they emptied the bottles of house water. Unfortunately this has left a very bad taste and will not be returning or my extended family aswell. Food quality tonight was also not the best. My Restaurant, offers the perfect family dining solution. The restaurant is impeccably clean, the open kitchen is clean and orderly and the service is first class. Casual dining has never been more comfortable,... so that is why the food is such a surprise. In this laidback lounge atmosphere, one expects the classic offerings to amount to really good comfort food,... BUT it is so much better than that! We tried the Mexican Chicken burger, Spaghetti Marinara, Mexicana pizza and My Grilled Chicken,.... Wow, the food was so fresh, the salads were vibrant crispy greens, the seafood was cooked to perfection (really allowing the taste to showcase the dish) and the pizza would stand up to the best that Australia has to offer. This restaurant supports a community and as such offers a plethora of reasons to bring your family along and enjoy the menu, and at the end of the day, it may be the community, the atmosphere or the reputation that draw you in for your first meal here, but it will be the food and the service that keep you coming back. They have been operating for 2 years and continues to maintain quality. I have had dinner here with family and friends and haven't been dissapointed. Mushroom sauce is delish, Rice and prawn dish is my favourite. Kids menu aren't exciting so I would recommend buying the delicious pasta, pizza or parmigiana. Bit pricy but generous sizes so if you are dining in with friends and family you can definitely share.

I have had their 2 course Ifthar menu as well and enjoyed it since its adjoining the masjid so convenient to pray after Ifthar and continue with the dinner post maghrib prayers. Strictly prebooked as it can get very busy.

Take away has not been a great experience maybe because I usually order pizza but the menu items are better enjoyed warm in the restaurant.

Ample free parking is another bonus to this halal restaurant...
