Niuda Beef Noodle Soup 牛大兰州牛肉面 — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went here with friends and was impressed by the generous serving size. There were plenty of noodles and meat — far more than what you’d typically get at other beef noodle restaurants, which often serve only three pieces or chunks of beef. Here, as you can see in the photos, the portions are substantial. You can even choose from seven different noodle styles, so whether you prefer thick or thin noodles, they’ll cater to your taste.

Personally, I found the noodle soup left me feeling a bit dry and thirsty afterward, but it was much better compared to 1915 Lanzhou Beef Noodles, where I felt extremely dry and thirsty and lost all flavor on my tongue afterward. MSG is commonly used in Chinese cuisine, but if you’re looking for beef noodle soup with noticeable flavors and less MSG, this is a good place to try. Very impressed with the serving size, it was a lot of noodles and meat! I can’t believe at another chain beef noodle of different brand is serving much less with same price! I had their pickle beef noodle and it was nice, although maybe I like the broth slightly better at that different place. And I realised later on that staff didn’t even ask what type of noodle we wanted, so such a shame we all got the same standard noodle. As a bit of a noodle lover, I wish I had been here earlier. I seemed to always dismiss it as possibly being another boring food court outlet. The one mistake I made is I had forgotten how far food court meals have come since I was younger. I ordered the spicy noodle combo A and it was fantastic. Generous portions for a low price and a distinctive (in a good way) flavour too. Friendly speedy service. The only minor issue which doesn't phase me was the dining area was a little untidy.
