Been here twice - once for a company lunch in Summer during Christmas time, second for a dinner catch up on a Thursday with friends. I both dislike, and love the different areas. I love there is a lot of seating. Outdoor space is nice, particularly in the Summer, lots of space, you won’t struggle for seating for larger groups. Indoors is the same though it can get loud inside with people drinking and chatting. I dislike how hard it is to navigate if you’re new to the space. I made a reservation for my dinner in the Tap Room but wasn’t sure who to ask about where to sit as there isn’t a designated person directing people and checking reservations. I waited for a friend and we ended up just finding my name on a table. Menu has a range of things - probably something for everyone. I ordered a seafood linguine (pictured). It was creamy, and had a decent amount of seafood - some clamshells had broken so I found a few pieces in the pasta, but the overall dish tasted good. Friends ordered a fish and chips and a parma. Couldn’t go wrong with either of those. Both very generous sized though I wasn’t able to snap any images of my friends’ meals. Little things: as with any bar - can get super busy. For food, you order and pay at the register and get your buzzer to pick up your order once its ready. For dinner - kitchen takes orders up to 8:45pm. They also don’t do take away but they will make you the dish served on a plate and give you a take away container to put your food in. There is also security outside by about 8-9ish which is also assuring when you’re walking to your car late in the night. Overall a decent hangout space. Gets super packed as its a hangout space for Monash students usually.

This is a review for the steakhouse. I've been here a few times and never had a bad meal! As you'd expect, very good cuts of meat are on offer and all Australian raised cattle. If you go for the scotch fillet, you won't be disappointed! Their steaks come either with fat homestyle chips or a potato gratin, which are both fantastic, and a green salad for the table. However, If you don't feel like red meat, there are other mains to choose from including chicken and fish. As far as entrées go, there are a wide variety to enjoy, the warm sourdough bread or the cheese garlic loaf are perfect to soak up the juices from your steak! There is a huge drinks list to peruse, with wines by glass or by the bottle, lots of craft beer, whiskeys and other various spirits. I'm sure you'll have a great meal here, there are other areas of the pub to enjoy if a casual drink or after work drinks call for it!

I went here a lot when I was younger and always had a great time, but after moving away sorta forgot about the place. Having seen they had a steakhouse recently I was keen to try it and see how the place had changed since it's old owner past away. I must say I was not disappointed they place was every bit as enjoyable as I remembered the steakhouse element was fantastic, with amazing and friendly service from all the staff, the food was very good and paced well throughout the night with a lovely atmosphere! I would certainly recommend a visit on this alone. But what has endeared this venue in my heart all over again was how friendly and helpful the venue and its staff were when I reached out a few days later as we couldn't recall the name of a wine that the staff had recommended and we had thoroughly enjoyed. Would happily give more stars if it were possible!

Bright hair emerged from the lasagna, and when waitress brought it to the attention of two chefs, they dismissed it, claiming it couldn't be mine as they both had black hair. Despite this, I chose not to request a refund, as it was my first meal of the day. However, their dismissive handling of the situation has left me with reservations about returning. Moreover, I found the pricing and service for Sparkling Water to be unclear. Although it is $13, the waitress simply poured the water without explaining that the price is different from regular water or providing a new bottle. This lack of clarity and explanation contributes to my overall dissatisfaction with the restaurant experience.

First time having dinner here and I absolutely loved the food! We ordered a mushroom pizza and steak sandwiches, plus two beers. The wood-fire pizza was handmade and even the crust tasted yummy and crunchy. I can taste the flavour of black truffle and every bit was a mouth full of deliciousness! The cheeses on top was generous and creamy, plus fresh herbs to balance the taste. Everything was just perfect. This might be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in Melbourne! The steak sandwich was well-balanced as they added fresh lettuces and roasted onions in the sandwich, which helped balance the richness of the beef steak. Will come back for more!

Big pub with lots of outdoor seating for functions / parties / big groups. The inside seating is also good.. The kitchen is scheduled to open at 5pm, tonight it opened at 5:10, we were the first group to order & it came out fairly quick - unfortunately our meals weren’t great, my teriyaki salmon bake was very fishy (not a good sign for salmon) dry & tasteless, the fish & chip meal also ordered by our group was overcooked & burnt. The eggplant chips were undercooked, hard, had no flavour & were very oily. Very pricey meals for unacceptable quality. Would not recommend this place for its dishes. Plenty of parking, service was ok!
