Oceans Edge Fresh Fish and Chippery — Restaurant in Melbourne

I grew up next to an award winning fish & chips shop in Seddon and I’m willing to go out on a limb and say i know good fish and chips unfortunately in the fast food climate that is 2024 finding good classic fish and chips is hard nowadays but rest assured your search is over Oceans Edge is everything a fish and chips shop should be from the fresh display of fish in the windows and the smell of battered flake hitting the hot oil the attention to detail and the passion put behind the product they serve is unheard of nowadays this place brings me back to a nostalgic time in my life when fish & chips on a Friday night was a staple.

From the homemade potato cakes that’s right homemade not the frozen type and the amazing battered scallops and seafood sticks and my god the portion of flake is so worth every dollar spent this is the best Fish and Chips in Melbourne’s Western suburbs

If this doesn’t put a smile on your face i’d be surprised

Do yourself a favour and come down to enjoy a proper family owned business a staple of what a fish and chips shop...

The worst fish shop in Melbourne gave me the wrong order didn't change it for me or money back left the shop with nothing got robbed 36 dollars what a business they got going on there stay away I'm your customer nearly 10 year I'm drive30 min to come your shop.and I get wrong order I'm order 8 potato cake and 2 flake fish. But your staff gave me 1 flake fish and 2 grill fish$36. And I came back to the shop and I told her this is not my order and it's wrong. She said I'm wrong, that's your order and she telk me she can't do anything That why I leave there because that not my order. If you have this situation again in the future, you gonna say customer alway wrong. And your staff is right And you think little bit you think come drive car 30 min to get 3 fish only .

Not only the customer is wrong at this shop the owner is saying his customers are stupid and why you delete your comment you should left it for your customers so they no what kind of owner you are lucky I screenshot it so they can see what you think off us that coming...

LOL. Cannot believe people can write a bad review on this place. Soggy chips and flakes? BS. Maybe you should wait for your orders instead of waiting for a pizza next door or going shopping at Coles while you order is waiting to be picked up. Orders are usually ready in 10mins. May I also suggest not getting them put in a plastic bag as this will turn and good fried food soggy. LOL again at rude customer service. Been a customer of theirs since the day they opened doors and have never had a bad phone experience nor bad in store. Have had too many good experiences there to even have time or space to write about. I also think some of these bad reviews are from surrounding competitors trying to bring a good shop...
