Oreganos pizza, pasta, fish and chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

I live in the inner northern suburbs. Went to drop something off to someone out in the burbs and on the way back passed this pizza place and decided to drop in. Friendly staff. The shop smelled like a pizza shop should. Ordered a large half n half Hawaiian/Mexicana, and a small (regular) Garlic and cheese. One thing I've noticed is that the further away from the city you go, the better the pizza seems to be (this only applies to independently owned and run pizza shops), and this place is no exception. The pizza places around where I live (Northcote) are mostly disappointing, but Oregano's was a pleasant surprise. When I was driving home, the smell was devine! The half n half was just a delight to eat, nicely balanced ingredients (not drowned in cheese like most). Garlic and cheese was the same - nicely balanced. My wife, who doesn't normally eat garlic and cheese cause she there is normally too much garlic, happily ate this one without a problem. Nicest pizza I've had in a while. First time ordering at Oreganos. We Ordered pizza and pasta deal with garlic bread and Sunkist. We were told it will take 45 mins to an hour. We Specifically requested to add extra sauce in pasta and the chosen pasta was fettuccini. An hour later we called to followup, they said it's in the oven and would be at least another 15 minutes. About 20 mins later the food was delivered. To our disappointment the pasta was spaghetti and there wasn't extra sauce as requested, it also lacked seasoning. The pizza was good and we had to choose a different drink also which ended up being fine. Understanding they were very busy however the standard of what was delivered was disappointing especially after waiting so long. We ordered delivery pizza and they both arrived squashed at the bottom of the box..... Because they were delivered by backpack on a motorbike. This is the second time it's happened, we let the first time slide.

When my wife called up the shop to question this she was told if you don't like our service then don't call us.

We have been ordering from oreganos for 10 years now, we are not after free pizza, we just wanted to know it wouldn't happen again. Service doesn't get much worse than...
