What a lovely little pink find! I made a spontaneous trip on the way to a work thing and it was such a pleasant experience!
It was a Thursday 11:30ish drop in and it was already decently busy inside. A couple of patrons outside but still a little quiet. By 12ish it was picking up. All tables were pretty much full!
When I sat around 11:45, I used the QR code to order which was easy enough. They also take orders at the counter if you prefer that way.
I was going to have a cappuccino but the Peaches and Cream Frappe caught my eye. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am so glad I ordered it. It was presented very cutely in a mason jar mug. It was delicious! Sweet as you’d expect, but definitely could taste the peach. Cream made it really light and fluffy, and the little maraschino cherry was a nice touch for decor but also yummy to eat! Such a treat! I can see it being ordered over and over in the Summer.
Food wise I didn’t want anything too big so I ordered a bacon and egg bagel with their relish. It was perfect - lightly toasted as I requested. The relish a nice sweet touch to the bacon and egg. The egg still had a bit of a runny yolk which I loved, and the bacon was incredibly crispy.
Parking is easy right out front, if it’s not busy. Even then, there are local streets around. Inside there are a few tables. Outside there are tables more suited for larger groups. Very cute aesthetic place. I wish I had taken a photo of the store as I loved the look of it.
I will likely make more stops here when I’m in the area, as it was such a nice little spot! Service was also really great - they brought out water to me, and also brought some water for the pup behind me who was sitting with their owners. Love a dog...
Read moreFirstly, this is not really a cafe...more of a glorified local toastie/ coffee shop. Cute to look at with its pink paint job and very busy/ popular with locals...we saw a steading stream of customers popping in for takeaway. Basic menu....mainly toasties, sandwiches, focaccias etc. The chilli scrambled was delicious but the other dish that sounded like a meal ( Wagyu barboa) turned out to be a toasted sandwich ( was tasty but felt misleading) I attempted to book for 5- but over 3 days couldn't get anyone to answer the phone or return messages from their answering machine.....very frustrating!! ( Answering machine could solve this by recorded message stating "We only do walk ins and payment is via scan code at tables!) Luckily they let us order in person and pay cash. We couldn't find toilets and assumed there weren't any, but later heard they were outside but not accessible...
Read moreWe came by chance today, ordered two sandwiches, one milkshake and a chai tea. It came to $49.10 which seems really expensive to me. Then I saw on the menu that they charge an extra 10% on weekends and public holidays. I can understand public holidays to a stretch but the weekends just seems greedy. The food was ok, the bread was a bit tough. So we ate the insides mostly. The staff constantly walked passed but we weren’t asked if everything was okay ect. Partner went back up and got a double espresso, Portuguese tart and a gingerbread man. Coffee is good. Gingerbread man was soft and fat. Instead of thin and crispy.
It seems quite overpriced for what just seems like a toastie cafe. Plus the toilets are not disabled friendly and there’s no baby change. You’re paying a lot for not a lot in return. Oh except the Portuguese tarts. They...
