Pizza Republica Camberwell — Restaurant in Melbourne

Recently we noticed that a Pizza Republica opened up in Camberwell and we wanted to try it out. The pizzas were ok but the donuts were so amazing that we said we would go back again just for donuts.

Here we are 2 months later and my partner and I were craving for donuts. We told ourselves lets also try the pizza again as maybe we ordered the wrong pizzas last time.

When I go and pickup the order, it turns out there was a bit of a miscommunication and they prepared italian donuts instead of american donuts. No biggie the staff apologizes and ask us to wait 5 mins which I happily do while they prepare a batch of american donuts and I hand them back the box of italian donuts.

I come back home, we have the pizzas and I make sure I do not overeat so that I can thoroughly enjoy the donuts. To my surprise, it turns out only 1/10 of each donut is filled with nutella as per the picture.

The amazing nutella donuts were the only reason why we wanted to go back but it turns out from the experience above, this will be our last time...

The Mars Bar snack pack was quite different from what I had expected. The donuts were significantly larger than advertised, but they were well-cooked, generously coated in sugar, and very tasty. However, there were a few downsides: the pack could have used more caramel and Nutella, and the Mars bars tasted stale, almost as if they had been defrosted after a long period in the fridge.
