We live just a short hop away from La Perla Bar so we’re eager to check out this busy little venue with an interesting menu. Our last visit at this location was pre-covid and as a cafe but this space really works as a cosy sippy and tapas style venue. Some of your not seen everyday wine by the glass and cocktails too. We had a zesty house made Limoncello Spritz. The menu really surprised. It was short but there were so many tasty morsels that we hadn’t tried before, that we just loved. Recommend literally all of the antipasti and especially the anchovy doughnuts and the crispy Carta di musica flatbread. We had the pumpkin pizza and topping just magically worked but it was the crust that impresse us with a little char and lovely bite. The Caprese salad was real… and by that I mean the tomatoes big bold and flavourful. The roasted broccoli with lemon dressing had us questioning how we could have not tried that combination previously. Delicious. We finished our meal off with a shared tiramisu for dessert. A really great local night out!

Went for a cocktail, stayed for a wine paired with a pizza from their self-made wood fired oven. The cocktails list spares you the pain of infinite-scrolling. We sampled ‘Southside’ and ‘One night in Johannesburg.' Both were winners. The meat-plate for two was a great starter as a conversation sidepiece. The legit crunchy-on-the-bottom fluffy-on-top pizza hit the spot. A side of roasted broccoli, also from the wood fired oven was delicious, leaving just enough room to order a tiramisu for dessert. There is enough on the refined menu to keep most people happy. Staff are knowledgeable about ingredients and wine pairings. The vibe balances mood lighting and funky tunes, while retaining a nod to the building's historical details.

In town visiting from London and decided to give this neighbourhood wine bar a try with friends and family, and what a wonderful experience this was! Service was friendly and the food was incredible. Our favourites were the flat bread with whipped ricotta, the prosciutto and mozzarella pizza, the special pasta dish (we missed the name…) and the lamb ribs! It’s the perfect wine bar to grab a glass (or a few) of wine or cocktails with some delicious and creative dishes in a laid-back and cozy environment. Can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes.

Had a really disappointing experience here. I was quite excited cos I saw the great reviews. We ordered Merlot wine upon arrival and noticed the pours were small and that was confirmed when our friend ordered later and received a usual pour. We ordered dinner and noticed it was taking a while. We weren’t warned about the wait and were disappointed it took so long. I ordered the prosciutto pizza for dinner which was ok but extremely tiny in size for the $33 I paid. I was still hungry after eating it as it look like I ordered from the kids menu. Being transparent about the size of the pizza would help but it shouldnt be this expensive for the size of it. Other restaurants charge the same price also using ‘good quality ingredients’ and this is for a full sized pizza. The service was friendly and attentive but it was not worth the price and the few annoying things that happened...
