Real Thai Esan of Whittlesea — Restaurant in Melbourne

Having Thai food available in Whittlesea is a godsend! I remember the previous Thai restaurant that had closed down and was so disheartened until I discovered that Slice of Thai had opened in the same upstairs space! Prompt service, polite and adept staff, and ultimately, great food at extremely reasonable prices for the portion size. I called up for a pick-up order and within 20 minutes my order was ready. Walked in the door and the staff were so polite and friendly. My partner and I ordered the roti bread with satay sauce, vegetarian spring rolls, chicken red curry, pork pad priew wan, and the vegetarian fried rice. The food was incredible; good amount of meat, packed full of fresh vegetables, good levels of spice, healthy, and the servings are great value for money! Would totally recommend visiting...

Came here not knowing what to expect with not many reviews. Ordered a variety of things all were soooo good. Plenty of meat, seafood and vegetables. Thickness of curry at most restaurants often lacks and is watery, but it was perfectly thick and full of flavour here. Probably the best Tom yum I’ve had. Definitely give it a go.

Couldn’t leave another review so adding on nearly a year later - Have been here a tonne of times since, 1 hour round trip, we are obsessed! Cannot fault the food every time. Even since going to Thailand recently, we kept comparing restaurants to there to this restaurant and couldn’t find it comparable. The homemade sauces with entrees are delicious and there is always so much veg, meat or seafood in the dishes. Staff are lovely!...

Myself and a few friends went here on opening night, and I was blown away. Had the entrée calamari and the pad thai, which were both incredible. Calamari was crispy and cooked perfectly and the pad thai was rich in flavour, piping hot and had a nice heat kick. Service and atmosphere complemented each other perfectly.
