Reverie Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I went to this shop today at 12:33pm, and ordered one ice coffee to go. That time wasn't busy no one line up ,so i decided to give a try, and i was waiting in front of cake fridge after i saw the docket came out from the machine.Then i change my location waiting on the side until i saw the staff finish the previous order.After that i decided to wait next to coffee machine because i know i am the next, that time there were 3 staff (two female and one male )working there ,they were chit chatting and then the male barista take new order for the new customer, he is polite ,and engage with the customer which is good and he starting make new customer order ,on that time i wasn't sure that is for him (new customer),until i saw the other waitress bring the coffee for him .So i decided asking my order which is ice coffee, they tell me that they don't see my order.I show them my apple pay, i ordered 7 mins ago. And i tell them why take so long for my ice coffee?Is it normal?(because i saw that they are not busy ), the lady who have short hair responded to me 7 mins is not long because they have other order......And i am thinking i didn't see any order, and 7 mins is not long but how about if i don't ask, probably i need wait for 17 mins or longer.

Okay, after talk to them i requested for the refund, because i don't want give them the business and why?

Firstly, after i talked to the lady who have short hair she replied me 7 mins is not long ,they have other order, and she said the docket machine have problem sometimes the docket did not come out.But i pretty sure i saw the docket pop out from the machine otherwise i won't walk away because i used apple pay, and once again ,they are not busy ,they have 3 staff over there, only 3 order, it were me (ice coffee),new customer (one cup of coffee )and previous customer (one ice latte and pie or sth else).

Secondly, when i standing next to coffee machine for couple mins to wait my ice coffee no one engaged me ,and taking care of me, but they could just simply ask me, are you alright?or what are you waiting for ?Do i need help you to follow up your order?No one, because they are too busy to talk and practice latte art on new customer coffee.

Finally, the girl who took my order, she doesn't remember my order even i was waiting next to her ,in the 7 mins, she only took my order, but she did not come to approach me.

I really feel upset that is my first time met this kind of customer services, before that i never ask for refund in the...

If I could give this place ZERO I would!

Came here for the 1st time.

Ordered 2 toasted sandwiches, coffee and waters. Initially staff advised all toasties had sold out. I asked whether they could make another 2 as it was still lunchtime.

A staff member pointed to a bunch of frozen sandwiches sitting in a plastic crate on a bench. Thought this was very odd : yet gave them the benefit of the doubt. Staff claimed this is ‘normal’.

When sandwiches arrived, they were soggy and ham smelt off. They were sent back. Then replaced these with 2 sausage rolls. These came out semi cold and tasted dreadful. Coffee was cold too.

When raised these issues with staff members, their attitudes were appalling.

No apology. Zero care factor. Found it appropriate to talk amongst themselves in another language (epitome of rudeness)!!

Obviously they were raised by wolves and do not comprehend the importance of basic manners and customer service. The smirk on their faces merely added insult to injury.

Shameful behavior from these staff members. Appalling!!! Never asked for a refund, just chose to walk away.

Dreadful and disgusting experience. Health Inspectors need to go in and have a look at this places food storage and food handling practices. Frozen sandwiches, sitting in a crate slowly defrosting. No wonder I felt ill that...

Visited this cafe yesterday during anzac day. After ordering we tried to find a table and although there were a number of options, none of them were clean. These empty tables were covered in pastry crumbs but luckily I had an alcohol wipe so I just cleaned it myself and didn't want to make a big fuss. My husband's coffee order came and the lady literally flung the cup and saucer onto our table to the point the spoon fell and touched the table (luckily i cleaned it earlier). No apology was received. Then my tea order came and she handed me a cup with very obvious coffee stains. I dislike complaining and wishes to close one eye for most things but these instances were not acceptable whatsoever. I understand it was a busy day hence can be stressful for the staff to manage, but the lack of hygiene and friendliness from the staff were unacceptable for Melbourne cafe standards. I'm not asking for royalty treatment but a simple standard service adequate yet we failed to receive.
