Royal Heaven Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went for dinner tonight. I have seen this restaurant so many times but never got a chance to dine in. The big hanging lights look amazing. A nice cosy restaurant located on the main road in the service lane.

Great ambiance! The owner tried to give royal touch, I think that’s why he has named it Royal Heaven.

About the service, the wait staff named Geeta was really nice and welcoming. She was coming to us again and again and asking if everything was ok. Food also came pretty quick.

Coming on to the food, we ordered a tandoori veg platter. It was a nice platter with paneer, stuffed mushrooms, cuttlets and Chaap. Methi malai paneer was the best. My kids loved it. Dal Bhukhara was very different and tasty. Nan and Roti were good too.

They also have a small party area at the back of the restaurant where they do live BBQ too.

When you lie for the third time just to get the customers to sit down and take your money, is pathetic. After explaining to them that the kids can't handle Chilli they told us they will make it extra mild. We told them that we were told the same thing the past two times and it was extra hot. I can handle hot Chilli but my kids can't. Instead we got extra hot again and couldn't eat again. Pathetic liers that don't respect the customers order or health and that think they will get away with it again. Definitely the last time and will never give them the benefit of the doubt again.. And all done with a nice smile by the establishment. There are other great Indian restaurants near us and we love going to them. But nothing remotely bad as Royal heaven....

Very bad qualities of food they serve rubbish food don’t go with good reviews they post by there friends disgusting food no salt in both curry and what the quality of naan and tandoor roti it’s not made on tandoor it’s made in tawa or hot plate because it’s like aa tawa roti and tawa naan and the curry ohh my good no salt and it’s feel like i am eat lots of masala no taste of sabji they need aa proper chef and I want to let owner know that we place order for takeaway $100 and this was and then my husband and there friends ho for dine in same day yesterday’s and they tell the front staff girl that food was rubbish no taste no salt lots of masala no taste of naan bread please owner work on it I will never recommend...
