I'd never heard of this place but our regular Indian restaurant was closed for the public holiday so I searched and found this was open and I ordered online in the car on the way back from our day out. I was a little worried when we arrived to pickup and it looked like they might not have seen the order come through but they got it ready in 15min and gave us 2 complimentary Cokes for the wait and to celebrate new years day. It was worth the wait, the food was great and great value! If you usually get a butter chicken plus a veggie and another meat dish the family feast is a great deal! we had so much left over bc you also get tandoori chicken and samosas! Its great that you get to choose any meat dish. The lamb vindaloo was great and the rest of the family who are butter chicken eaters highly rated the butter chicken. Always good to find another good Indian joint nearby, very happy we stumbled on this one and can't wait for...
Read moreWe were here for dine in this evening. It is important to mention that we were going at this place quite often. We ordered ‘malai methi paneer’ and ‘lacchha pranthas’. First, we waited for our food more than 40 minutes, even the restaurant was all empty, and it is completely fine when you need delicious food. When our food arrived at the table, it was so tasteless. We ordered medium spicy and it was not spicy at all. We just ate a little bit of it. Then, we waited for someone to come to our table so we can order some green chilli, but, nobody arrived since we can hear them laughing and talking at the back. When we gave our review to the guy who was serving us, he said it’s the owner who was cooking. We were so shock to hear that. We were expecting a little apology and a smile, but nobody showed their great customer service skills. I recommend them to value a customer’s time...
Read moreWife wanted to eat goat and I wanted some nice chicken curry to go with Naan breads. I live in Mitcham, and if given the radius of 5kms there is not a single Indian restaurant serving this quality and quantity of food in the Eastern suburbs.
This was my second take away from this place, last time I had ordered Dal Makhani, Chicken curry & naan breads. And this time upon recommendation from one the staff members (punjabi guy with beard and wears a cap) ordered Goat Masala and Kadhai chicken.
Hands down to the authentic curries full on flavour, spice level exact medium hot as requested, naan breads so soft and yummy. Hats off to the kitchen and wait staff.
I personally have found the best Indian restaurant in this area of Melbourne and highly recommend. If you think I am missing on any other hidden gems around, please drop a...
