This is a must visit restaurant if your in Melbourne looking for pure vegetarian Indian food. Located in the suburb of Mount Waverly and away from the noisy city street, this place offers great Indian vegetarian cuisine at very affordable prices. This restaurant has won many awards for it's hygeine, cleanliness and taste including The Shop of the Year in the city of Whitehorse's food hygeine Assessment Award. The hospitality is great as well and mostly importantly they offer food of great taste which reminded me of true Indian flavours. I tried Gobi Manchurian and it was finger licking amongst others. Their self made Mango Lassi and Mango ice cream were sumptuous.. Everyone else with me were very happy with the food they ordered and we we're fully satisfied. I strongly suggest to visit this place at least once and trust me you will be regular here.

The entree is very good but the other two dishes are average quality and very expensive for what they are. It’s the same price as meat dishes elsewhere. Happy to pay if it’s outstanding but it’s not the case. Surcharge needs to be covering the business credit card use expense, not for covering inflation cost. Pretty sure this is illegal.

Overpriced and Unhygienic vegetarian ($14 for a cup of potato, raita and achar set), with strands of long hair in the balloon bread. I wonder what sorts of fungus goes with the hair strands in the food. I threw it all away.

We organised kids birthday party here for about 20-24 people including kids. The restaurant owners gave us and the guests a wonderful experience.

The place can accommodate about 24 people at one time. The service is great, and the owners are very welcoming to any customisation of food or services to meet the needs of the guests.

One thing that stands out in this restaurant is cleanliness. I would rate it A1 on cleanliness and hygiene - setting a standard much above most other restaurants across Melbourne.

The food is all vegetarian, and options to customise to vegan, Saatvik, or Jain cuisine. The food is home-made style and unlike any other Indian restaurant which sell Indian street style food. The food therefore is less oily, and has no unnecessary spices. Pure-vegetarian option also makes this restaurant a great place to go for a lot of environment-loving people.

Lastly, on charges - the owners didn't charge us anything extra over what was agreed. And they also threw in extra drinks and a few tawa battooras on the house (free of charge).

It was a great experience. We will be back to...

I mean where to start from.. About Food? It’s the most delicious Indian tadka with a complete homely feeling, I’ve had in my month stay here in Melbourne. Was totally new to this country but both uncle and aunty never let me feel the same, from the day I visited Sampoorna Restaurant, it was my second home truly❣️! They are really brilliant at hospitality. I really loved meeting them, they are just like my family now really!

Thank you for everything. Yeah, new comers in Burwood (especially, first time Indian visitors) I would say, you should indeed visit this place.. Parveen uncle has a lot of wisdom for you haha😄! Thank you so much Shikha aunty for preparing meals just like my mother ☺️!

Would truly visit you again if fortunately I have a chance to revisit Melbourne. Hope to meet you’ll soon! And do let me know whenever you visit India. Keep going!! Lots of love and kudos...
