Witnessed an incident happened on Wednesday 23 October
I often dine at this restaurant as I enjoyed the specialty cooked by the chef, plus their staff are very friendly and polite.
However, during my recent visit with a couple of girlfriends on Wednesday night of 23 October we witnessed an incident occurred which made us all fell so uncomfortable. What happened was one of the male customer has been so irated towards another customer, he was trying to bully the gentleman from another table that were having dinner with his family with kid on the table. I sat facing them so seen what happened on the night, and heard the violence man yelled out saying to the gentleman “you have been staring at me the whole time I walked passed “. My question is if he didn’t look at the gentleman how did he even knew someone was looking at him.
The reason I felt the need to write this review is hoping nothing happened to the gentleman and his family, as when we left the restaurant at around 9:40pm the violence man was still waiting outside of the restaurant. When we walked out we overheard him saying to the owner and the staff of the restaurant that he is waiting for the gentleman to come out to fight with him. We were worried and concerned to hear his comment, and believe the restaurant owner should call the police to handle the situation. Personally, I believe we should all be feeling comfortable to dine in a place that’s peace and safe, having someone yelling at you for looking at them is unacceptable, we lived in a democracy country, shouldn’t have the fear of feeling threatened. Anyone, we are more than happy to be the witness for the...
Read moreREASONABLE QUALITY CANTONESE / MALAYSIAN CUISINE Sino Kitchen is tucked away in Tunstall Square. There is a large carpark in the square. The restaurant is large and noisy with the tables squished in a bit too closely for comfort (the back of my chair was competing for space with the next table!) Service is fairly perfunctory but efficient. The menu is quite expansive and there should be a dish to please everyone. We had pork hock and jellyfish, pipis (tasty), peking duck (duck was tender but the sauce was a bit overwhelming) steamed murray cod (very good), char kway teow (beef hor fun), and a free range chicken dish that is very similar to hainanese chicken. the serving sizes are quite generous. It is a BYO restaurant - we brought wines along and were not charged corkage. People with mobility issues will find this restaurant a bit challenging because of the lack of space between tables. I'd recommend asking ahead for a table close to the entry where the tables are not so tightly packed together. This restaurant would suit for a casual dinner, a large group or family with kids. All up it cost a fairly reasonable $190. (note there is a 2% surcharge on payments...
Read moreSeven hungry diners walked into Sino Kitchen, and left really full, happy and satisfied. We had booked to have lunch at Sino Kitchen on the recommendation of another family friend and we were not disappointed at all. The pics here is of all the food we ordered and it was delicious. I don’t have one particular stand out dish as they all were amazing. Our guests had vegetarian requests too, which were amply catered too by the Sino Kitchen menu options. The server also kindly portioned out the steamed fish for us individually. Plenty of parking options, in fact two large car parks on either side of the restaurant, so driving there is definitely an option. The green tea was piping hot and tasty and definitely a favourite across our guests to complement the food. This was a good recommendation and we will be back to...
