🥘 Stir fried sauerkraut and lamb with noodles (no chilli) 🥘 Stir fried cabbage and lamb with noodles (no chilli) Went here for the first time and I won't be coming back. The stir fried sauerkraut and lamb with noodles was OK. I found that the flavour could use more spices (I'm not talking about chilli). I could taste the "bounce" in the noodles (which is a good thing), but I think it would have been better if the noodles were thicker. The stir fried cabbage and lamb noodles however, was inedible. The noodles tasted like it came from a vacuum packed ramen, the sauce was very bland and the amount of lamb provided was simply inadequate. It felt like one of those meals that you pull out from random pantry ingredients when you have no food in the house. In addition, we were the only table at the restaurant and the staff members kept to themselves. This is despite the fact that there was no cutlery in the tray at the tables. It seems like the restaurant ran out of ingredients. If that was the case, I would have preferred it if they let us know and got us to order something else, instead of bringing out mediocre food. In summary, don't come here unless you are ready for disappointment.

A surprising goodness found in an unexpected corner. It is located at the intersection between Princes Highway and Clayton Road. The owner family was friendly and welcoming, and gave me a lot of details about their dishes. Food wise: The chicken potato noodle seems to be the signature, but portion is for 2-3 people and cannot be separated, and spicy dishes cannot have chilli removed, so I tried the $18 beef noodle instead (most dishes here are lamb, and unfortunately I cannot eat lamb, what a shame). The noodles was a lot, and the beef is soft and melted in mouth. The homemade yogurt is very good as well, and is a lot for $4. Overall big portion and welcoming family. Definitely feels like home!

A real Marco Polo food find!!! Special food run by warm family friendly owners with chefs from the silk road region. Tucked away on dandenong road an ultra clean bright restaurant serving authentic chinese cuisine from Xinjiang and a great australian chinese menu as well. Highlights include cummin spicy lamb skewers, mumma's home made dumplings and the highlight chicken pieces with handmadd noodles in a rich, aromatic gravy- no talking except " yum"- genrous portions, good value- journey on this silk road of flavour!!! Ample parking in back.
