This one has been a wild ride. Honestly, I was surprised to see the place still there after all these years, but it was the only place still open, so my friend and I gave it one more chance.
I totally agree with everyone's review. I have been there when the manager is there and had a couple of times when the service was terrible, and they were stingy with the ingredients, which were wilted and stale, then had them try to add extra charges on the drinks.
But yesterday, my friend and I was looking for a quick bite and saw that there was a new girl behind the counter, cleaning and organising things! She was checking the sauce bottle levels, putting in a fresh box of salads, and putting more ice in the cold bath for the knives. She didn't make us wait at all, too. She came right up to the counter with a smile and asked us what she could get us. As we ordered, since I had not been there for over a year, I had forgotten the types of cheese, but she patiently explained them in a very pleasant and respectful way and helped me pick out the right one. She was still pleasant and patient when I went to scan my member barcode, and my app needed to update. Despite having to serve another customer while my app was updating, she still rang up the right orders and had no problem with cancelling and re-entering the orders on the register. (Which often new employees get confused by.)
My friend and I sat inside and chatted away, catching up until we lost track of time. We saw the girl behind the counter actually mopping the floors, too.
Then, she, in a cheerful and polite way, said, "Excuse me, I'm so sorry, we are coming up to closing time in 5 mins." and we did not feel rushed or unwelcome at all because she was very pleasant about it but we swallowed our last bites and left feeling like it was a very pleasant experience and the food was very satisfying, living up to the Subway brand of fresh and the shop was very clean.
This girl has single handedly fully redeemed this subway shop for me. I'll pop in for a sandwhich if I see her behind the counter in the...
Read moreI have been going to Thift Park, Mentone Subway every single day for over year, but after dealing with ‘Mikk’ at Thrift Park Subway one too many times, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Every single day, it’s the same terrible service. She’s rude, unfriendly, and acts like serving customers is the last thing she wants to be doing. No greeting, no effort, just a bad attitude from start to finish.
On top of that, she’s lazy when making subs. I used to work at Subway, so I know exactly how things should be done, and she constantly cuts corners. She leaves the bread in the oven too long, so it always comes out burnt. She slaps ingredients together carelessly, like she couldn’t care less about what she’s serving. It’s not that hard to make a decent sub, but somehow, she manages to mess it up every time.
I’ve given this place too many chances, but I’m done. If management actually cares about their customers, they need to do something about Mikk because she’s driving...
Read moreDisappointed,Disappointed, disappointed. We were regular customers to this subway and never had any issues but today we ordered 2 x foot longs. Being so stingy to put vegetables on the sub. PATTY WAS FROZEN IN BOTH Of subs and as soon as we realise it's frozen weak the female staff to fix it but then she over microwaved the patty ,over this time of period the bread was rock hard as it was already over crunched in the over previously. Later on got asked by the same family staff how was it but I had no choice left to say that it was horrible. ZERO % customer service ,no value for money ,waste of time to be here.
Worst ever subway experience...
