I could here after seeing the reviews but unfortunately, what I witnessed was beyond words. Dirt everywhere, used utensils on other tables, the plates given to us had cracks and upon requesting, they changed the plates which were even worst. It didn't like a restaurant and the prices are extremely high for the ambience and quality of food. Shaljam ghosh (shallots mutton curry) is the same as tamatar ghosh (tomato mutton curry) and looks like the same dish has different names. What's more, we ordered a cup of masala chai which, I agree was really nice and while we started enjoying one good thing for our dinner, the KITCHEN WAS ON FIRE, there were no fire alarms, no safety measures, no fire extinguishers and there was smoke everywhere. We walked out and waited desperately for someone for come so that we could make the payment. After 10 min, the fire was out and made the payment.. This was our worst restaurant experience so far in Australia. PLS DO NOT ENTER...
Read moreI'll give 5/5 for hospitality of the owner, Waqar Bhai. He's always ready, eager and happy to accommodate customers' demands. Makes them feel welcome and at home. Many times we visited him minutes before closing and he still made our order.
Food wise I will give it 4/5. Mutton Paya, mutton karahi and chicken karahi are awesome. Plus its the only restaurant in town that serves chapattis. Vegan dishes like Karhi Pakora are also worth trying.
Best thing on menu is the Tandoori chai. We come here every Friday night for Tandori Chai, Samosay and Qeema Parathay. 5/5 for chai and starters.
Portions are more than enough and value for money. Ingredients are fresh and made to order.
It's not at all like your typical Indian restaurant where everything is commercial, mass produced and where every curry tastes same like butter chicken. 😃
1 thing that I wish they can improve are their pakoras. Currently it's 90% basin cooked in with no onion,...
Read moreI recently had a terrible experience ordering from this restaurant. I ordered four naan and two tandoori rotis, but there was absolutely no difference between them—they both tasted the same, and both were stale and dry, like they had been sitting around for hours.
The dal makhani was another disaster. It was not even close to real dal makhani; instead, it was drowned in oil, so much so that it felt like I was eating oil with a hint of dal. The flavors were completely off, and the dish was greasy and heavy in the worst way.
The entire meal felt like it had been prepared with zero care or attention to quality. It was extremely disappointing to spend money on such poorly made food. This place needs serious improvement in both quality and authenticity. Definitely not worth a visit if you’re looking for real, fresh, or flavorful...
