Suntop plaza serves up some fresh sandwiches in Brunswick East, as well as awesome coffee and a great burnt basque cheesecake. We had lunch today at Suntop after seeing their posts come up as a recommendation on our instagram feed. Sandwiches looked good so we checked them out today. We ordered a couple sandwiches, the fried egg, cheddar, avo, mayo and prosciutto, as well as the poached chicken with mayo, lettuce and added prosciutto. Both tasted great, fresh, great balance of flavours however a little heavy on the mayo (for Charlene, but that’s a personal preference). Bread was amazing, fluffy, and not too chewy so it won’t hurt your jaw as you dig into them. A great feed however sandwiches could have been a tad bigger. Photos on their instagram page make their sandwiches look larger than what they are, and for $13 a pop a little more value wouldn’t go astray. We would say the sandwiches are essentially half of one that would cost approx $18 elsewhere. Nonetheless, tasty sandwiches based on their flavour profiles and ingredients. We ordered a couple piccolo lattes and cannot fault them, quality through and through. We were about to leave but then sat back down to share a slice of burnt basque cheesecake and glad we did. It was absolutely astonishing. The cheesecake didn’t need the side of labne and plum syrup because it was perfect on its own. Believe all their cakes are home made. A real winner. Overall this eatery has a pleasant vibe, nicely decorated, staff are lovely and were even having a ball and a bit of a dance with the tunes playing in the background. Love that. We give this cafe 4/5 ⭐️ - up the ante a on the sandwich size and it would be a home run.

We had such a wonderful experience at Suntop cafe. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice. She even asked us if the volume of music bother us or not, which really showed their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. We were there just for coffee, but couldnt resist the home made cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best I ever had, and I am a cheesecake lover. Also, the coffee was very nice. Overall, this cafe exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to enjoy a coffee or meal, this is the perfect spot. We can't wait to visit again soon! Five stars all around! Highly recommended.

The wife and i dropped in a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoyed the sandwiches here although the menu is a bit of a challenge to make out. Cool atmosphere, staff seemed little standoffish. No hello or welcome or you can sit here, just come in, sit down wait until you notice other patrons approach a specific staff member to order. Then get up and order. Might have been signs somewhere but I didn't see them. Overall I'd definately come back for a sandwich and it may have been an off day. Good coffee too
