Aurora Receptions — Attraction in Melbourne

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday party at Aurora receptions la petite hall. The hall could easily cater 50+ guests. From the beginning till end Charan and his team Jagjit and Surpreet were attentive to our needs and wish list for the celebration party. Charan even recommended us his fellow decorator who in-turn advised on photographer and kids party entertainer. So basically i could get in touch of all the people i would need to pull off a successful party under one roof ! The day of the event began. And everything was made ready as per planned. The place was beautifully decorated. Everything was in place as discussed. The food was served hot and delicious! I noticed the guests going for multiple servings and complimenting me about the catering. Surpreet was very attentive during the event and checked with me on the next steps to ensure smooth implementation and timing of the party. She was very warm and approachable and i felt privileged to have her by my side during the event to ensure we have smooth flowing event. I was delighted to see they made note and provided me with everything we had discussed in advance from kids table, to cutlery and even picking up kids juice for me from supermarket. I know thay may sound easy but trust me on the day of event such little things make huge impact. Pathetic experience at New Years Eve 2023 party at this place. Paid nearly $100 a person ( for 6 people ) for that eve night and when arrived, it was a never forgotten experience. People were jammed into this place. Max capacity of this hall was around 150 and double the people were squeezed in with no space of walking between the tables. There was no Air Conditioning working at all. Imagine being without air conditioner during that hot night in the hall full of people. The funniest thing was, that you need to go by yourself to the drinks counter to get soft drinks and water for your table. Imagine carrying jugs of water in your own hands. No customer service at all. Food was ok, cant complain on that. DJ was rubbish as well, too loud and didnt have any knowledge of how to do atleast the mixing.

I wish we coule have spend our hard earned money somewhere else. It looked like the owner wanted to make too much money out for that night by cramping people into his limited capacity hall.

2 stars just for the space they have . Unwashed glasses and cutlery . Some has still lipstick marked on that (totally unhygienic). Stone cold food served and if u ask them to check it, they will get angry and tell you this is buffet and food is like that and most important thing is food is not tasty at all apart from 1 or 2 dishes . Bro ppl are not paying for this big hall only have some manners . Don't bother to Refill the empty serving bowl and many more things which make this place not worthy for any big and special event . Don't spoil your event .
