Nothing classy about this place!

I hate writing bad reviews however consumers need to be warned… stay away unless you love disappointment.

In the beginning it was comical how bad the service was but after not being served our high tea for almost 1.5 hours and seeing the other diners with their high tea, I feel the need to write this.

I understand that sometimes restaurants get busy and overwhelmed but the booking was made serval months prior which would allow time to prepare and plan. There is no excuse.

Where do I start?

Food Middle Eastern Beef Samboosek - bland and inedible Mushroom and leek quiche - soggy and bland Arancini of the day - only thing decent on the plate Chicken & dijon sandwich - average Egg gribiche sandwich - bread was stale and inedible Panko crumbed prawn bao, slaw, fried shallots & coriander - 1 prawn was ok but nothing to write home about Scone - weird texture like playdoh

Tea. Meant to be bottomless pots of tea, not once did the staff come and ask if we want a top up or see if we would like to try another flavour. We had a table of 11 with 3 pots of tea. Had to ask several times for milk which was enough for 2 people.

They do not accomodate for small children. At the time of booking 4 high chairs were requested, guess what upon arrival only 2 were provided. When asked could they serve the 7 children their high tea first as they were getting wrestles, we had to wait another 30 minutes and all were served at different times.

Coffee. We ordered a round of coffees, another wait and what looked to be dishwashing liquid bubbles on top of the coffee. We still hadn’t gotten high tea and the waiter shoved a eftpos machine in our faces asking to pay.

Wait Staff. When the high tea finally came out we were not served enough and asked on 3 occasions where the serving for 2 people’s was. A very rude and abrupt woman came storming over and said “what did you say to that guy”, that guy referring to a waiter” what professionalism. While this was happening the assumed manager of this establishment was giving us all an offence glance from the cash register.

Not once did the waiters or manager come and say sorry for the delay or offer for the coffees to be on the house. Clearly untrained, unprofessional and need a lesson in customer service.

I feel we needed to wait for the other customers to eat their high tea as there were not enough serving plates to accomodate.

Such a terrible disappointment and I feel for the person who booked it as it was meant to be a very special day for her and her family.

The worst part of the experience was when it came to paying the bill and they overcharged stating that we had ordered another high tea. What the actual…

I can safely say no one in that group will ever return to this place or...

Attended a bridal shower here that was held in the evening - I had really high hopes for this place after seeing it all over Instagram and people raving about it. To say I was disappointed and quite disgusted is an understatement. I had to wait 1.5 hours for 1 meal, as well as others on my table. No apology was offered, no one came over to let us know how much longer it would be. After TWO HOURS, two of the girls on my table still hadn’t received their meals. We communicated this to the waitress (mind you there was ONE waitress catering to 30 people at this event) who seemed to have no ide about the remaining dishes. She then went and spoke to the manager ‘Amnah’ who simply glared over at our table, didn’t come over to even offer an explanation, compensation, an apology - nothing. The waitress came back and simply said “can I have your account details to refund you for the meals you haven’t received” and that was it. The manager Amnah after this didn’t come to apologise or even explain how this had happened, despite walking past our table numerous times. I relayed my disappointment to the waitress and asked her to pass on this feedback to the manager that I was extremely upset with this service and I did see her relaying it to her, and then of course the manager simply packed her stuff and went home - not even a sorry! The food on the other hand - so not worth the price you pay. Pasta rubbery and hard, gnocchi like mashed potato, chicken Bao undercooked. If you can’t handle a function with that many people then DONT ACCEPT BOOKINGS JUST FOR MONEY! A bit of integrity and common courtesy goes a long way! I’ve never been so shocked at such appalling...

This place barely gets two stars. Arrived and our booking was nowhere to be found, I showed them both confirmations on my email and they looked stumped. We were hurriedly seated to obviously a table that wasn’t set up for us. Where do I begin. The wait staff were nice enough but very inexperienced In their skills, my coffee took ages to come and wasn’t the greatest it was all foam and no coffee, the tea came immediately go figure. No-one came to ask if everything was okay during the almost two hours we were there and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else. Dishes were piling up on our table and it was very uncomfortable, only when I started to rearrange things did someone come over and removed some items. Chairs where being lifted close to our heads as they had a booking down the back, one would think it would have been set up already and not trying to squeeze past us whilst eating. When we received out selection we were missing desserts that were clearly listed on the menu in front of us, we hadn’t noticed initially only towards the end. The fillings were very scant to say the least and lacked flavour, the bread slightly dry and appeared not fresh, it would have been nice if we were advised that they used chilling in two of the items but hey we were not. . The kitchen was exposed and not what you would want to be seated next to when having Diamond high tea service @$70 per person. For me this was a very unsatisfactory experience, I wanted to treat my daughters but left deflated. I can’t and wouldn’t recommend going to this place. Sent owners My complaint via email twice now,no response how very very...

Booked a table for two for my 6 year anniversary with my boyfriend. One of the ladies called me on the day to ask me to change my booking from 3pm to 1pm as they “couldn’t do 3pm anymore”, we were also asked for our menu preferences that morning which I thought was a great idea. After arriving on time and having our tea order taken, we waited approximately 20 minutes for that to arrive as the wait staff were busy with two other groups. Frustratingly, we then waited over an hour before I asked how our food was coming to be told “there was a mix up” and was finally given our pre ordered high tea 15 minutes later. The staff did not appear to notice that we had been waiting so long. The food was fine, nothing spectacular, I enjoyed the scones which were lovely and sweet. Overall we were disappointed, we understand things go wrong and sometimes food runs late, but as we had ordered that morning and changed our booking time at late notice to suit the restaurant and still waited such a long time with no thanks or apologies from the staff, we walked out feeling very dissatisfied with our experience. The space itself was pretty, a few things will need improvement, my tea pot was broken on top meaning I could not hold the lid down as I poured my tea, no cutlery provided when moving from savoury to sweet food, water was not refilled which on a 30 degree day in a stuffy room just added to the frustration of the day.

Today, I truly felt like royalty alongside my best friend at The Third Tier Tea Room. We experienced the High Tea Diamond Deluxe, and it was absolutely perfect! It's giving "The Love Witch". I highly recommend trying the Altina Le Blanc organic wine, it’s so refreshing and pairs beautifully with the high tea meal. For fellow rose lovers like me, the Pink Lady Tea is a must-try, with its delicate floral notes that make the whole experience even more magical. Whether you're celebrating a wedding, baby shower, small gathering, or just indulging in some leisure time with friends, The Third Tier is the perfect spot. We booked in advance, and I recommend doing the same for horse racing days, they're open from 10 AM to 3 PM. For those who love a relaxing start to the day, breakfast begins at 9 o’clock, with morning coffee and sandwiches available for a laid-back experience. The decor is pure elegance, with a blend of French and English styles, making the atmosphere feel luxurious. We indulged in traditional housemade scones with delicious cream and jam, which were truly the highlight of our visit! For a sophisticated afternoon of leisure, The Third Tier also could offer table painting, paint and sip sessions, or even ladies' games for a bit of fun (for your celebratory needs). Whatever the occasion, whether it’s a bridal shower or just a classy sandwich with friends, this is the place to be!

The high tea experience isn’t restricted to just afternoon now, Third tiers popular High Tea is upgraded with interesting twists to their classics now with a range of new dinner dishes. Diners who prefer a quintessential dinner immediately after their afternoon tea can go for their new specialties including Chicken and Eggplant roulade , Roasted Lamb Shoulder, Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli,Garlic Pepper Prawns. It can’t get any more value-for-money with the set tier entree at just $19pp. Inspired by variety, the set includes local favorites of different cuisines. like pita bread and whipped cod roe, Arancini and Caprese and Chicken bao and beef Sambousek on the third tier. If you’re not in the mood for just tea, you can choose from a range of fruit-driven mocktails. Their Pina Colada is delicious and to die forrr🤌🏻 Desserts are a hard choice here, The flavours here are truly one of a kind, and a far cry from run-off-the-mill tea sets.Hazelnut Mille Feuile was my favourite and done so well, achieving that perfect balance between moisture and density. And if you find yourself debating between the belgian waffle or sticky date pudding just get both. ❤️
