Taco Bill - Croydon — Restaurant in Melbourne

We went here for my birthday yhis evening after discovering that our confirmed existing booking at the Lilydale restaurant became non existant upon arrival( bitterly dissapointed). So then had to drive to the Croydon restaurant in hope that they had a free table. Thankfully they did. I had a special birthday voucher for a free meal and a piece of Mexican birthday cake. I ordered the chicken Fajitas and a Margarita on the rocks(Original). The fajitas were nice but the sides that came with it was rather disappointing and the rice was bland and there was no sour cream that usually accompanies the sides. The piece of so called mexican birthday cake was extremely ordinary and was more or less similar to a brownie with some caramel sauce and the $18.00 original Margarita that I was so looking forward to, just topped off my birthday night of disappointments as it didnt come with the salted rim on the glass, which makes it a Margarita. Anyone that loves an original Margarita, like I do knows that it isn't a Margarita without the salt on the rim of the glass. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she told me that the salt machine is out of order. SERIOUSLY!! SALT MACHINE! All that needs to be done is run a price of lemon around the glass and place the rim in some salt. No machine required. So I can honestly say this would have to be the most disappointing birthday that I have ever had with Taco Bill Lilydale(Non existant bit still taking bookings) and Croydon and I will never go to any Taco Bill's for my birthday or any other...

A large group of us dined in tonight at your restaurant. The service we received from the 2 women taking orders was fabulous however the kitchen staff need an attitude adjustment. We had a large order of food with many dishes and there is nothing wrong with mistakes being made, we can accept a mistakenly took order or miscommunication, but the way these situation were handled was ridiculous. We had a few items having to be sent back as they were made with ingredients we asked to be left out and a few items we received were wrong but we ate them anyway (ordering chicken tacos but receiving beef). But something that I can’t get over and has led me to writing this review is that a serve of nachos we asked to come out with no guacamole first came out with such on top. That’s fine, when explained to the waitress she apologies and brought it back to the kitchen. When it came back out it was on a small plate with mounted salsa and sour cream and guacamole smeared on half of the chips and on the plate. It was clear they had put the old nachos on a new plate, attempted to remove the gaucamole and cover it up. This was so frustrating as we have allergies to cater for and the attitude of the kitchen staff was presented right there in front of us. This may not mean much to you but we won’t be...

I wish i could do 0 stars. Arrived at 7:50pm for bottomless dinner, got our first drink at 8:20pm. There was only 1 other group of people in the restaurant, and Servers were at the bar on their phones not making our drinks and being distracted. The nachos that arrived were clearly in the microwave to melt the cheese also with weird black marks not sure what that was but didn’t appear safe to eat, and the quesadillas were cold and tasted funky. Was only served 4 drinks in 90 minutes which is absolutely crazy when we paid $60. I would understand if the restaurant was busy but the fact that there was no one in there and it took minimum 10-15 mins to bring out drinks is insane. I will never return and waste my money on a restaurant that couldn’t care less about their customers. Also the lights started turning off while we were still inside drinking (it was 9:30 and they claimed to close at 10)if you don’t want people in the restaurant at a certain time change your opening hours so your customers don’t feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Microwaves also in the kitchen ? If food is fresh and clean why would you even need a microwave. Get Gordon Ramsey up...
