It's another Sunday and we decided to come by to order individual meal. The last time we order few dishes to share.
To our surprise, the place is packed and we got to know is when we called the restaurant. There is only table available for the time we will arrive, but we have 7 people so this table won't fit. We decided to book it as at least a few of us can settle down to order food.
This time I decided to try their dry noodle so ordered the dry sauced noodle minced pork with fish balls in a soup. It's generous and I truly enjoyed. The chicken rice set also tasted good. Lastly the nasi lemak also good but the chili is not spicy.
Oh today the restaurant seems to be making something behind as it repeatedly have this machine sound. We found it irritating and even the Jay Zhou songs seems faded. Hope the owner take note.
Again great service and paying cash will have 5 % off the total bill. Definitely will be back again but will make booking.
Parking is limited outside the restaurant. We ended up parking along the street. Ok how can I not review this place? It's a 5.
A usual Sunday after our great games. Two families came out with hungry kids and the moment we look at the menu, we are like "Lets order this, and that and ... ". I have read a few reviews and they expressed the same thoughts that I had, so I shall not go into too lengthy review.
Ambience & Service [4]. The moment we arrived and parked, we found this location so familiar. It used to be another eating place, which we don't really like their food.
Walking in, the place is brightly lit and a popular Taiwanese singer song play at the background. In fact, it's the whole album being played. Guess the staff are big fan!
It's a decent place with tables that quite close by especially when chairs are drawn. Order is taken swiftly and food served were pretty quick too.
Food [5]. The food we ordered were all great. I am not a big fan of carbo but ended up finishing rice with the dishes. If you need advice, start with those dishes posted. For the fish charcoal pot, it's very individual on the taste.
We had a satisfying meal and was already planning when we...

Every dish is packed with traditional Malay flavors, with perfect spice combinations and high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend their Lemon Chicken—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a sweet and tangy lemon sauce that complements the chicken perfectly. One bite, and you'll be hooked! Also, their Fish Head Curry is a must-try—the fish is fresh and flavorful, and the broth is rich and aromatic, bursting with spices and the natural sweetness of seafood. Every spoonful feels like a taste of the ocean.
In addition, the service at this restaurant is impeccable. The staff are not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations based on your preferences. The dining environment is clean and comfortable, with soft music playing in the background, making it a perfect spot to enjoy with family and friends.

Read moreNestled deep within the Notting Hill industrial area, housed inside the car park area of a nondescript apartment pot, lies this truly hidden gem. Should we gate-keep this? It's a tough one. They need to thrive in order for them to be around for a long time to keep serving us outstanding food!
Essential orders: Volcano tofu - soft egg tofu, topped with luscious mince meat and egg sauce, served on a sizzling plate
Crispy skin pork trotters with Thai sauce
Hainanese chicken rice - best fragrant rice in Melbourne (not kidding)
Other outstanding dishes: Charcoal Fish Hot Pot - laden with ingredients and fresh fish. The broth was superbly morish
Pork stomach soup with rice (individual portion but was massive and could be shared easily between 3 to 4 as a side)
Lemon chicken - nicely crispy coating, succulent chicken, and tangy lemon sauce. This is an acquired taste that is very quintessentially Malaysian
Hometown boiled pork belly - don't let the pale appearance fool you. Topped with generous fried shallots, spring onions, and finished with hot oil.
Bookings recommended. Car parking is awkward but you'll make it work. The food is...
