Maybe it was the cold weather outside, maybe it was because we weren't (or looked like) locals and were visiting for the first time? But we had an overall disappointing experience at Two Brothers.

This is moreso due to the poor customer service rather than the quality of the food, which was above average but priced like it came from an inner city cafe. After our drink orders were taken, the owner (I presume one of the 'brothers') came and told us that since we hadn't had our food orders taken he would get someone to serve us immediately. 5 minutes later and only after flagging down one of the wait staff did we finally manage to order our breakfast.

Not once did any of the staff or the owner ask us how the food was or if we enjoyed ourselves. Not even when paying!?! Moreover, what's with the cheap cutlery you provide? The knives in particular are woefully inadequate for cutting the crusty sourdough bread and the thick Otway bacon (which was delicious by the way). Invest the money you are making from charging city prices into knives with serrations that can cut through more than just soft eggs...

First up: not open on Sundays. So if you're looking for a trendy cafe for brunch then you'll have to go somewhere else!

The coffee here is always at the right temp and I've never had it burnt. The staff are friendly and the prices are about expected.

The place is well lit, colourful but on the small awkward size. Often waiting for coffee on the Saturday you will be knocking into people or in the way of the wait staff.

I haven't yet experienced the food other than the occasional muffin. Most items in the bay are the typical cafe style food. It would be nice if they have healthier bite options to snack on with the coffee, but you don't really find them in other places either.

Parking: only a little bit along the strip of shops but on the opposite side of the road is a small free parking space with public toilets.

There is a garden out the back with setting once the weather fines up.

And of course, you can pick up coffee beans for...

Firstly, food was great. We booked with a man on the phone and he had excellent mannerisms.

The only reason I'm going down two stars is because there is a limited menu (which I understand, it is a small business but I expected slightly more range).

Another reason is because the waitress that served us basically told us to shut up when we tried ordering food. She was writing drinks down and when we tried to get our food order in, she said, "I'll stop you there because I have other tables to go to so I will go put this in and come back for the food later." SHE NEVER CAME BACK. We waited 20 mins and ended up flagging down a different waitress.

I will probably not return due to that first waitress being rude but I...

A lovely little cafe with wonderful staff! The lad who served me was very friendly and smiling to all the customers - making the place very welcoming. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the flat white, I could hardly taste the coffee and it was too milky (must note that it is personal preference that I like a strong coffee). That being said a nice cafe - the food and other drinks looked lovely. I noticed they kept their gluten free cakes separate, so people with coeliac disease can enjoy - very good sign!

A very funky cafe in Mitcham. Went for lunch and food was wonderful. All day breakfast menu available as well as lunch menu. I like that there were lunch options for $10 and under as well as fancier options. Indoor and outdoor seating- courtyard out back and even a water bowl for dogs for front outside seating. Very friendly staff.

Great place hidden away in the middle of Mitcham, good burgers, good meals, good drinks. Their hot chocolate could be a bit better, but overall I give them a 4/5. Clean establishment and great attitude from the proprietors makes this a place I return to regularly. I recommend the mushroom burger, it's particularly good.
